Well. Yeah, it was more the point that it was Higurashi in general. If it is the Anime itself or Kai or the joke shorts wasn't that important.
Btw. now it is finally clear how they are doing the red truth. (Saracasm Surprisngly they indeed use red I admit though I didn't know that they would use the red that way but it is a good way to do it. |

It airs at 1:30 AM in Japan? Really?
Even if so, it might be repeated later on a different time and maybe even a different station. But yeah, I was also kinda surprised. Especially, as doing it that way should have been avoidable by using different angles and so. |

Actually, if you wanted you could actually try to use a Devil's proof or something like this to deny that the red truth is indeed the truth because that rule didn't exist before. There is therefore no way of telling that the red truth is indeed the truth, even if she uses red to introduce it.
But as this would make the whole thing kinda stupid, I think we can very likely ignore that possibility Btw. yeah she also used red to introduce it in the Anime with a sentence like Goldsmith said though I believe it was a bit different. |

Not a bad episode if I do say so myself.
Again there were a lot of cuts but while some of them were bad (grrr...lack of development for the characters) a few didn't matter that much, Still I can't help but think that it is hard to care for the characters at the moment as even the touching scenes a la Kanon and Jessica's death were rather plain and boring. Something was missing for me to mourn for their deaths as being special compared to the first 6 in the chapel, which is a shame. I don't like it that I'm not getting any emotions or feelings from watching this and only hope that it will improve. Battler's victory against the witch felt flat as well since it was more of a "duh this is what happened" kind of situation due to the fact pace of it being done over. But I do like how they handled the red at least. Finally the stakes! Nothing out of place for me besides the damn stupid spin...WTF...

Wait, if Battler honestly doesn't believe in magic, exactly how does he think he's in his current situation? (Observing some kind of "second playthrough", seeing the colour of people's words etc).
Why does Beatrice have to use a second game to prove the existence of magic anyway? It's not like Battler had a non-supernatural solution to the first one. Also, now we can have battles with goat-headed demons and girl-stakes? It's like this show wants to fit in all genres: mystery, fantasy, drama, comedy, and now action...
