Holy Knight OVA

An anime OVA to Miyazaki Maya’s manga series Holy Knight has been green-lit for production. It is scheduled to be released this Winter.

The story revolves an orphan named Mizumura Shinta who attends school in Tokyo. It is there where he meets a transfer student from Romania named Kishimoto Lilith. It is later revealed she is part human and part vampire.

Apparently it will be done by a new studio called Cammot.

Personally, I find it somewhat interesting even if it has a vampire theme. (Which I'm not much of the vampire theme much).
As long as it now some stupid generic show with extreme fanservice... Things will be fine.

I really like the design of the character in that image, but the designs for the anime colored me unimpressed. They all look so generic in that OP. I believe there's only one volume of the manga so far. Not much for the OVA to cover. Maya Miyazaki has done mostly hentai work, so I don't know how this is gonna be, honestly.

I agree, the manga designs are so much better. And basically there is also a novel version of Holy Knight, so therefore it will be the adaption of the novel I believe.

I read the manga and I was dissapointed. I have high expectations to the anime and I just hope it will have story elements that will turn better than the manga adaptation.

The character designs weren't anywhere as good as the manga. The godly ecchi scenes were removed and they completely ruined their personalities especially Chizuru's. The animation and most of the music felt just weird.

And my overall reaction was "I can't fap to this."

Finished episode 1, and the content seems to be different than I expected. Am I the only one who like the anime more than the manga, even though the manga content is strongly rushed and watered down as well the ruined personnality of Chizuru (as stated by TheEroKing) ?
The ecchi content is watered with moderation, add actual plot and they even cut off sex scenes. I even loved the character design (even though it looks inferior to the manga) and the content adds more fun. They even added a cliffhanger towards the end, and I just hope the OVA will end with a close ending and not just a open ending.

Since the first episode is released online, I would love to see someone moving it to the Current Series Thread.

I'm surprised there are more suspense, twists and romance yet these twists were rushed. I'm very dissapointed by the ending even though Shinta and Lilith end together, but they are barely talking each other yet they are confessing each other. Also the plot also gets rushed, and I feel very unsatisfied with this anime because the ending really kills the mood without explaination.

The flashback to past were nice and informative.
Cammot was totally cute in her non-neko form.
So Shinta finally awakened... such power.
Lilith ended up in a serious pinch.
Nice prince-on-a-white-horse ending.

I saw all the sex scenes.....
