Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-4-Ki (4th OVA Series)

An official Twitter account and website opened on Friday to announce a Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-4-Ki (4th Season) project. The website also announces a November 28 event in Takahashi in Okayama Prefecture. The event will focus on the most recent anime, Ai: Tenchi Muyo!, as well as the newly-announced Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-4-Ki anime.

This is one of my favorite anime series that got me into anime. Hopfully it will be better than Ai Tenchi Muyo

Sasami is likely going to be a schoolgirl now and as such doesn't need to sound like a child.

I honestly would not take that picture as a representative of the new series, those are clearly cuts from the first two ovas which would explain the lack of Noike.

But yeah I am pumped for this news, Tenchi is my favorite show, and I had kind of lost any hope of another series, but here we go.

I would like to see more Isekai as well. Thats what I hope this series would be like, not in terms of story but in terms of length. Isekai was 13 episodes at 50 minutes each, or basically the equivalent of 26 episodes, while the original ova has a total of 20-22 since one or two episodes are 50 minutes long.

Masaki Kajishima has direct involvement he announced it back in March I believe so it is unlikely Nagishi will be involved.

You'll have no such luck. Over the past few years Masaki Kajishima has been releasing works that deal with the lives of Tenchi and Seina's kids so far he has confirmed Noike and he do have a child and that child might have given birth to the oldest grand child.

Spoiler for the kids and future husbands:

Noike's daughter is the green haired girl
The older 6 have even made appearances in some of the books giving more background on Isekai although the triplets are labeled as being crystals since information had not been released about them at the time.

Is there any place that has details on the kids. Last I heard, which was a few years ago, Ryoko had a daughter, the one she is holding in the illustration, assume Tenchi was the dad, and Tenchi had a son who married the sister of the first king of Jurai. Now all of sudden he and Seina have a bunch of kids, I am guessing Kenshi as well?

Also this may not be a popular opinion, but if we are not going to get the art style of the first two ovas, I personally would rather keep the Ai Tenchi art style from the dude who does Yozaraku Quartet then the art style from the third ova.

There is actually very little information given even though we see them from birth to marriage . The Manga pretty much focus on each group but there is no text at all and seems to be just slice of life events throughout their lives. The name of the books are Tenchi Muyo IF 1-3b . There hasn't been much talk about what happens to Kenshiafter wards but there are a few books that cover his childhood everyone but him was in one the plan to send him back to complete the mission that Reia messed up when she got sent over by mistake , she was the second one that was trained for combat.

Really hope this won't be as horribly rushed and nonsensical as the 3rd OVA. I was fine up until Episode 6, which things just went... Yeah.

Still, I'm excited despite that. Really hope for the best on this.
