The main case was a bit boring, but the final minutes (and the bit with Saika in a maid outfit) redeemed it. I can sympathize with Hachiman. However, he's wrong about Yui. She genuinely liked him and wasn't kind to him out of gratitude or because she was worried about him. It wasn't mere kindness. It was friendship, and maybe a little more than that. His deep insecurity mislead him. Once bitten, twice shy as he said... too shy in this case.

Her failed attempts to have him recognize her had lead him to think she is nice to him out of pity. Most of these relationships generally won't last long. Hachiman made a choice to pursue his own freedom of not getting hurt only to further prolong his solitude. I can partly sympathize with him in this case due to past experience. Still it's hard for me to justify his action. Part of my ego agree with his action, while my sympathy for the crying girl leave me depressed.

But you're right, its not "easy" for her or the rest of the cast. On the other hand it isn't rocket science if a character had the balls to put some things on the line for there wishes.
Honestly I don't think even a confession would work. He'd probably think it's a prank. His trust issues go deep.

Episode 5 is what I been waiting for the series to get to.
Been some hints, and episodes centered on the other girls' problems, but interested in the problem behind Hachiman, and why he's so 'broken'

The end was good and left me looking forward to the next episode.

Even though he despises the type the most, I think it would do Hachi good if he became friends with the popular guy. He seems genuinely a good person, and think he would make a good anchor for Hachi. He needs a true male friend instead of just an annoying guy and a guy who he confuses as a girl.

At first though Saki was gonna be the girl that left the sweets.
During the meeting in the beginning, Hachi's sister got a weird look when seeing Yui, at first thought she was looking at her big chest, but its because they already met, so she thought it was weird repeating it like that.

It's true that it's basically an exception. But one can dream right? Though it makes me wonder how exactly they'll shatter Hikigaya's fortress. Would be funny if in the end he actually does it himself.

On another note, Saki takes the cake for me. Fake your age to get a part time job that pays better(I'd assume you get more because of the hours/age difference and stuff) to afford your tuition? Hell yeah.

It's not just that. Bartenders serve liquor, so they can't be underage, period.

I see nothing wrong with his comments. That is the fact of reality.

I've been in that situation a number of times my self. >.> nice to just because your nice back.

I've been laughed at when I was being completely serious with someone. They think they're being nice by laughing. The truth is their the only was laughing and your not so your being laughed at.
That's how being nice can hurt.

Hayato Same problem as Yui
From Hachi point of view:
Nice to everyone =/= true friends

since A is nice to b, c, d, e, f...etc
so b same as f for A

And as we see from eps1/2 he didn't just try once and get trauma that stop him from trusting anyone.
He try > failed > try again> failed again...etc

Saki's pretty cool, but I didn't really care for her problems at all. The last few minutes really redeemed the ep for me, though. Can't wait for the next episode.

edit: also, dog maid woofs are much more hhnngg than cat maid meows.

I think it's because they don't give us time to warm up to her character.

Or maybe she's one of those characters that gets a lot better after her initial arc.

Personally I'm disappointed that the meido fuku and formal party Yukino isn't getting much attention

I have no doubt that she'll get more air time in the future, and I have no doubt that I'll love her when that times comes. :P

And yeah, Yukino with that maid and formal dress swag looks purty.

Getting much attention? What do you mean? This?
Spoiler:

ED - I'm not good with Photoshop or anything so there were color changed in the ED so I just left the screenshots as they were.
Spoiler:

Lovely isn't it though? Anyways more Yukino development is highly welcome!

That much is obvious. I just know it is eventually going to develop into one. I'm thinking Yukino will get jealous seeing Yui express her feelings toward Hikki. Which in turn, is where it will begin.

Speaking of the ED, anyone know when the album will be out?

Yukino is really annoying.
MC should focus on his studies and leave the retarded nosey club.
Well, that's how it would work out in RL.

Since it is for shounen, it's all weird drama and "twists".
