Taboo-Tattoo
Plot Summary: Quote:
There are about 33 translated chapters right now based on the manga although I think there are more raws out there. Kinda curious to see how this will be adapted though since it has potential with the premise. Some of the style of the series combines martial arts with shounen action. And there's also a bit of mystery going on regarding the characters and overlay of the story. ANN source: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...s-anime/.83602

Taboo-Tattoo's French Publisher: Anime Will Air in 2015
Quote:
Granted, announcing the anime this early in the year meant that a Summer or Fall airing was easily possible, but still. |

Episode 1:
Well...I got some mixed feelings about the episode. It was fun to watch and production quality (both animation and soundtrack) is good. However, the timing of the comedy...one minute characters are fighting a battle of life and death, the next minute, we got comedic faces out of nowhere. Hope they lessen those comedic moments. Meanwhile, there's also obviously something going on about the tattoos, guess we'll have to find out more as there seems to be more users. Justice also has some decent fighting skills so I'm glad to see that he isn't a wimp. Bluesy Fluesy though? Really? The show has some of the most awkward names lol

Since David Pro's too busy with Jojo, this has become the unofficial sequel to Bento
The fights look decent, but I'll reserve full judgment until JC proves they can last the whole season without any slideshows. The gags are somewhat excessive, but in a show where the MC's last name is actually 'Justice' I'm just going to shut my brain off like with Big Order and enjoy the ride. Now to wait for the inevitable JC beach episode with requisite surfer battle

Hmm let's see:
-Nice animation -Nice action and fights -Nice OP and ED -Nice VA Those are the good points of the first episode, now the pacing was so fast that I cannot enjoy this in a proper way, they went from one thing to another without explanations of introductions of the characters, or even giving some time to know what is going on. I read tha manga and I feel like this is ok, at least for now, but I hope they fix this terrible pacing soon. |

I came in with no expectation or knowledge. I was surprised... kinda. In a positive way. I agree with Stark700, the art/animation and music is neat. I also like how they were able to fully introduce us their world and story within those 20 minutes without butchering or rushing it. Also, I for one welcome the comedy even if it happens during serious scenes. It reminds me of Gintama. You know, it has its serious arcs but it is never strange if it includes some whacky humor even when the situation is serious. I can laugh yet take it serious at the same time, it's not a contradiction to me at all.
Furthermore, the girls are cute. But wait, according to the ED it's full of them... ah, eh, I guess I shouldn't complain.

They splurged on the graphics during fights. And at least we're dealing with mostly professionals (though I question the Bunny's professionalism when her first inclination is to kick his teeth in) instead of a bunch of teenagers abruptly getting their hands on super-powers.

That was a pretty solid first episode. Got into the world and a feel for the main cast. Interesting potential with the MC. Growing up with the desire to do the right thing like his father tried to. But also growing up with his grandfather basically putting his dad down for being too weak to live like that. Unfortunately in life there is no amount of training that will make you immortal or invulnerable. Bad things happen.
Izzy is a pretty fun character. Pretty darn horrible at tailing people, but also really darn tough. Plus, her confidence makes sense for someone who is older than she looks.
