Obvious and not necessarily interesting. He was the first one to be nice to her and she put him on a pedestal just like everyone else who knew Hiro from back then.

It's like the writers only have one character dynamic they can write. Bunch of hacks.

This one, so far, hasn't disappointed me one bit. But, well, that's me

Of course, in my opinion at least. And so far the only remotely compelling dynamic is between Kokoro and Mitsuru. I hope they'll get some more attention.

When people here have been expecting deaths and shipping shuffles...hence the "plot twists" and "character dynamics".
As if there weren't enough stuff yet to be unfolded, like what's left of world building, the mysteries of the past and all that stuff people here are already associating with Eva and such...

All that's interesting of the characters involved are interesting. And in general they're not.

I agree that the story is interesting, but can't say the same about the characters. But not a big fault, I prefer some somehow forgettable characters over those I'd be forced to drop a decent story, a la Argevollen.
About dynamics well, they usually revolve around the MC so I don't see anything particularly wrong about hiro's basic shining armour. But personally I also prefer Kokoro and Mitsuru dynamic, the only one with a bit of complexity behind it.

Oh, about Futoshi, doesn't he looked just fine, as he already moved on? Nice try, but I suspect we'll have to wait for him to explode, like during his own episode. Likely dying saving kokoro in place of Mitsuru.

Well, if Futoshi did move on then that would make him far better than Mitsuru since Mitsuru couldn't move on from his issue and used it to antagonize everybody.

Strangely enough. 02 in her "Oni" form (Klaxosaur I think) reminds me of the characters from Onihime VS. That manhwa was short-lived, but it had characters who were Oni. And they have a temporary transformation that almost like 02's, but they are more ferocious. Hina I think was the first who transformed before even the main female characters who transformed at the very last chapter of the story.

Anyway I'm looking forward to the flashback, although I'm no longer surprised, it's always humans scientists who tinker with things too much. I wouldn't even mess with 02 like that.

I like the speculation that Hiro's name for 02 is "Honey"

On a side note, what happened to 02's penchant for licking sweets? Forgotten about or went away due to meeting Hiro somehow?

No, he means Honey as in Honey, pronounced like "oni". Although I think it's actually written with an "a" in Japanese. It would explain why Zero Two calls him Darling.
