I don't know, except this is an equivalent of the typical has-been pop star accepting a one-time contract to appear on the cover of Playboy or Hustler.

Damn, it's inevitable, but I don't think all idols will go to that quick-rich route.

There is. The difference is being a part timer or full timer.

Victoria’s Secret Features an Unexpected Anime Inspiration

Quote:
When you think Victoria's Secret, you probably think lingerie. Makes sense! Because that's exactly what the company makes and sells. You, however, do not think Japanese animation. Right now, though, you will. That's because the famed underwear maker showed an unlikely inspiration at its recent fashion show.

On November 7, Victoria's Secret had its models hit the catwalk in New York City, showing off an array of colorful (and skimpy!) outfits. Much of the underwear was inspired by things like butterflies, fairy tales, and Victorian lingerie—the kinds of things you'd imagine would inspire the designers at Victoria's Secret.

when people talk about trophy wives behind their back, the words usually included whore and slut and in the 90s, plastic.

Funny though how the full-time is more acceptable than the part-time

Also, the part timer gets filmed during the deed. The full timer can probably keep it behind closed curtains.

don't know about how Japan does it but in the West there are all sorts of prenups when the Rich OLD dude married the trophy wife. In the event of a divorce she basically get nothing. Most don't leave to their trophy wives when they died.

The Part Timer gets more upfront money. How that works out depend on what they do with it.

Yup, saw that earlier.

Expected more common sense from senior enlisted tbh, esp. ones that are in special forces, it's basic OPSEC.

I am not sure this counts as silly, but I find it pretty odd
15 States including Texas have filed a petition to secede from the United States

I am not sure what they're really hoping this would accomplish, not to mention even if it got enough petitioners, it would require a special election vote, and would pretty unlikely to pass in most states.

Its called having a temper tantrum .... also being discussed as part of the 2012 elections (post-election fallout).
Any idiot can start a petition. Getting the signatures is the second step ... and then at some point the general population is involved.

Voice of Elmo on leave after denying 'underage conduct' with teen

Quote:
The puppeteer who provides the voice of Elmo is on a leave of absence from Sesame Street after denying he had an inappropriate relationship with a teenage boy.

Sesame Street Workshop says it found the allegation against Kevin Clash "unsubstantiated," and granted him leave as he takes "actions to protect his reputation."

The running Daikon

A farmer unearthed a daikon that had swinging hands and legs. He decided to photograph it in different situations

This has me squinting a bit. The "teenage boy" in question was 16 at the time the relationship started. That is age of consent in most states (some as low as 14). Elmo's puppeteer was 23 at the time.

Yeah, it showed some poor decisions giving his professional position (*cough* Petraeus *cough*) but can our media not stop calling late teens "children"? This creeping trend of "soccer mom tries to keep them kids forever" just irritates me.

Reading the comments is just facepalming -- so few people know the actual law and yet speak with unfounded "authority" about definitions. Idiots.
