I gotta ask... Did you draw those pictures using reference images, or did you free hand them from scratch...? Either way they are very well done, but I'm just curious.

They're references from shots from the manga. Except for the 1st one and last one. I believe they're original.

yup, as kiva said. I used reference image, especially for 2nd and 3rd. overall, I loved the zabuza image(3rd one) since I spend most effort on it. though there's reference, i felt that it's pretty hard to keep his expression right, so i done it over and over again. the easiest one is the 1st gaara image. panda eyes fixed them all ^^
