Heard that Hideo Kojima wanted to play this game so much.

Too bad it's not coming out in Japan til July 7.

Alright. This is the first mainstream game that I see which has full frontal female nudity.

Rockstar folks just love pushing the edge, don't they.

Well it's full frontal nudity for dead women.

I was suprised but then again it's a homicidal case so what'd you expect?

I am surprised though there wasn't any uproar in regards to it but maybe because this game wasn't that hyped up in the media.

Holy shit, this game is already epic. There are very minute problems that are troubling (note: playing the 360 version) so far, but it's a Rockstar game so I'll probably get used to it. When you're driving, it's really difficult to keep a clean record and not hit anything (probably best to let your partner drive if you want a good score), the response time after pressing buttons is a little off, and doubting someone often results in fiercer interrogation instead of accusations of a bold-faced lie.

Still, I'm getting used to this game and I think I might have been accustomed to Ace Attorney's rules too much. I'll attempt to be as unbiased as I can for updates.

One more note, the motion capture of the facial expressions are amazing. The attention to detail is also fantastic, and I find the controls better than GTA IV or RDR. The cases are all unique as well so far; it's not just homicide, homicide, homicide.

[EDIT 1]
Spoiler for Case Spoiler!:

Anybody else got this strange urge to look for the old school classic film Noir movies after playing this game ?

Well, there's always the next best thing

For me, it's given me a strange urge to try to listen to all the songs on the radio (I think all of them are listed in the back few pages of the manual).
That aside, who here has a Rockstar Games Social Club account? Finding all the landmarks is much easier using the map they give you!
It also seems I missed one clue and one POI from "The Red Lipstick Murder" on the Homicide desk...

The great thing about this game is that there are many outcomes. You can kill, wound, arrest or anything out of the blue.

One of best games I've played for a long time. I'm pretty hooked. It's a great change for RockStar for always being Mafia's and gangsters. This time you're the law, bad cop or good cop.

I think it's pretty cool that you can get to the end of a case and not be able to solve it if you missed something. Makes it more realistic and stressful, as it should be. Luckily you can replay cases though :3 I'll probably get this when it goes down in price

Seeing most of the storyline revloves around killing women, it's seems they got the inspiration from Jack the Ripper.

Other than those I always injure or kill criminals on police calls, sometimes I do fail on rescuing people, but the good thing is you can replay it, clues though at times are a pain to get and the interrogation process where you have more than one suspect and both evidence point to them, it's pretty much your decision. Hard at times when you know lives of this people will be change if this was in real life.

Just don't play the game over 3 hours the PS3 units overheats.

Overall great game a must have.

I wouldn't say most, it's only on the Homicide cases, and that's like 1/4 of the game- albeit, it's a big quarter... But only a quarter.

Homicide is probably my favorite followed by Traffic (<- fun).

Ad Vice and Arson just isn't as intriguing.

I rarely actually make an arrest on the street crime, especially once they pulled their weapon, it could only end one way.

Just completed all the Homicide cases, and it was very interesting to see how the events leading to the conclusion panned out.
I liked the Traffic partner better though, especially his reactions to Phelps' poor driving.

I played the ps3 version, quite enjoyable and refreshing.

The gameplay itself is probably the weak point. It's a combination of puzzles, driving, quick time events, and shooting, but all those aspects are sorta watered down. The game maintains a sense of realism and immersion through all those parts, so it doesn't get boring. You don't really have a chance to bring out your A-game and feel rewarded for it, it's just a fun ride.

What I take away from my experience from playing LA Noire, is that I can't help but stare at people's face whenever I ask them anything, always tap twice when indicating an object...

...And I never look at a detective show the same way again

Also in the 1950's they never wore gloves while investigating bodies?
And yes Iam still at the homicide cases and I enjoy the most are the police calls and finding new vehicles. Man those are vintage! Also gotta love the good old songs they play in LA Noire.

Reminds me of my dead grandmother use to play at home when I was a kid, may she RIP.

If we are to believe they touched evidence directly with their hands instead of forensic tweezers, then a bare hand is better than gloves. Granted, we don't directly touch evidence nowadays, but in that particular scenario, directly touching with gloves would smudge possible fingerprints that they could use. If you leave your prints on it, then both would clearly show up on the test and yours could be removed.

I was under the impression that back in the days, technology simply wasn't sophisticated enough for them to warrent taking all that kind of precaution against contamination. This was an era that still rely mostly on detective legwork.

That could also be the case. I thought I'd engineer a scenario for the modern man, though.
