The anime's OST doesn't have any of the game's soundtrack on it (and quite a lot of them were used in the anime). It's all new or modified tracks.
So if you want the more epic soundtracks you'll need the game's OST. That's not a bad thing per se as the game's OST is well worth getting. |

I think it's truly a bad decision to have the anime soundtrack not feature any of the game pieces. There's a few nice pieces from the anime score, though overall it's pretty flat, though with some pieces from the game, it could have balanced it all out.
