Do they only care about him because of his strength?
Yea, it's kind of obvious. These girls wouldn't have given him the time of day or even known he existed were it not for his displays of power.

Kyouka and Rino noticed him before during Kyouka's fight with Ayane. They thought that he can only keep up with them not that he is much more stronger than any of them.

That and in this instance he shows his manly muscles.

As Meru says a Wild Rin-chan appears.

The fact still remains that they only noticed and have any interest in him due to his displays of power and skill.

Physical strength can be considered a characteristic of masculinity, as shown by Meru blushing over his ripped arms. Attraction (not love, there's a difference) does not have to start from the personality.

Again, if you think their interest in him is going to stay purely political, you're mistaken.

I only mentioned that he caught their attention just because of his strength, if he were a weak guy then they would not have given him the time of day or knew he even existed...but of course it will develop into something more with them liking him for other reasons, that was never up for debate.

This manga is quite fun. It really resembles Ikkitousen minus murder and rape. The author models his girls age after Characters from Romance of Three Kingdoms. Shu side is Ayane Liu Bei, Makoto Guan Yu, Keiko Zhang Fei. Wei includes Kyoka Cao Cao and Kako Xiahou Dun (her name is the nearest to Kakoton). Wu has Ren Sun Ce, Rino Sun Quan. Meru's strength is like Lu Bu, but her friendship with Ren makes her Taishi Ci. Rintarou resembles Lu Bu more because Liu Bei once had help from Lu Bu. Good thing this one is comedy ecchi so no one will die. The most damage the girls can get is from having their clothes ripped and exposed for us to see. Ayane did not even bleed from getting slashed by Rino. It is official, people. Let the love love ecchi comedy show continue.
PS Did you see the expression on the faces of Ayane and Rurina when Rino approaches Rintarou with that declaration? Wonder if they are jealous of having their toy... uh Master taken by Rino?

I'm also glad that this manga isn't as serious as Ikkitousen. Because it's a ecchi comedy so Rintarou's invincible power work as a comic relief instead of having it's actual role. If Dragon Rioting has the setting of Ikkitousen, as a man and the strongest fighter, Rintarou will always be the one who deal with problems, fight and get injure. And the girl will look useless because of that.

Well, Rin is quite powerful and likely much more than the girls...HOWEVER this could end up having the same effect as Onepunch-man or Noblesse where the characters OTHER than the all powerful MC are actually quite powerful themselves, but since the MC is so strong he overshadows them.
It works in those series, wonder if it will in this one.

You know I'm half expecting one of the girls currently in the school is Rintarou's childhood friend or a transfer student comes in turns out his childhood friend. Or a girl in the middle school branch is his childhood friend.

Rintarou somewhat forgets about her as he spent years living in the mountains with his dad.

I call it - Kyoka's gonna be the first one who's going to want Rin-chan's babies. She'll fight him but his sincerity and his efforts to seal off all self-ero will invoke powerful vibes in the older girl.

I suspect actually that during his fight with Kyouka he'll be winning but somehow kyouka will do something to make his disease reactivate and then the girls will find out about his weakness and then things will get fun.

Does anyone think Erin's (the cosplayer) pretty much on Rintaro's level? She was the only one not blown away by his performance and having feats like walking on crows or flashing through a group of people makes her seem like a master-class of her own.

Just caught up with the latest chapter and feel disgust the up-herself glasses girl now thinks she can claim Rintarou belongs to her ? What a load of bull, She can hit the road. Ayanes the only dragon that should have a privilege of having him as her master. They've come to an understanding/arrangement right from the get go. She wants to learn from him, not to use him.

Dont really feel all that great about him putting his abilities on display tho :/. Its like showing your cards to your enemy

Curious about this maid/gothlolita, what motive does she have to follow Rintarou around now? after having followed Meru around?. And I dont want Meru to leave <.< One of the best characters so far ><

Whoever said anything about being a master?

It is either of these three things.

1. Rino views Rintarou as an obstacle to ruling Nangokuren.

2. Rino will make Rintarou her slave/subordinate.

3. Rino declares Rintarou is hers as he is the only male worthy of her attraction. If that is the case the twin stalking Rintarou does not like it as another girl is after Rintarou.

Oh on Kyoka the first time they meet she'll eat Rintarou if they meet again. Eat as in fight I think.

Given she say this is the second time she was this excited it brings to question who? The first time she meets Rintarou or does she refer to Ren?
