I've heard about trying to up the drama and suspense, but there's only so far you can go before you start bursting through walls...
... so Nanoha is now the Kool-Aid Man?

You do realize that regeneration of RH is nothing new at all, right?

I'm tempted to start referring to Fortis as the anti-Otto...

RH regenerating, no. But Nanoha herself recovering from that slash? Seems a bit much.

Oh, I know - Nanoha must be Neo...

EDIT @ Gespenst: The power of the Dividers is established a bit better in chapter 6 (not translated as of yet), when Signum faces off against Cypha. Laevateinn ends up cracking, during the fight, suggesting that the Dividers damage Devices simply by coming into contact with them or something. And orbital bombardment is only an option if you aren't worried about collateral damage...

And when it comes to wall-busting, look no further than Nanoha. (Figuratively AND literally.)

Also, fast regeneration like Recovery for RH is new.

Well contact isn't much of an issue either...

...Smaller weapons can deliver measured amounts of energy as small as a 500 lb conventional bomb....

...I thought they were on an uninhabited planet for some reason.

Nope, definitely inhabited. Less developed than Midchilda, though. Also, Touma et al have spent most of their time in the countryside, which is probably what gave you that impression.

As people have mentioned, it is for RH and Nanoha. Bardiche had Recovery, but that was all I saw. When RH and Badriche were damaged before, it took them almost a day to fix themselves.

Wait was their base on that same planet that Touma met the clothes shop girl?

Hückebein? I assume so. In other parts of the manga where the scene transitions between planets, it mentions it in a text box. The transition to the Hückebein base didn't mention anything like that.

But a trap? Nah.

Now Otto, on the other hand... There are still people in denial over her.

The funny thing is that I *know* Otto is female, and I still find myself referring to her as "him". Blame Carim's cosplaying tendencies, I guess...

That's exactly what makes her a perfect trap.

That's cuz their cores (the heads of the staffs) were damaged. Those are the main units so it took much longer. In this case, only RH's staff was cut, so it really was just a simple matter of putting the two pieces back together.

As for Nanoha's recovery... yeah... gonna have to raise an eyebrow at that one.

I had my doubts about Otto at first, but once I found out she was a she, I've had no problem refering to her as such.

Just looking at a still image is harder, at least for me, to discern gender. Or I can blame my eyes Record 05 pictures 'cause I thought there was long hair at the back too, not a funky style like that.

It'd be like seeing Yuuno from behind with just that ponytail of his, I guess.

I've not read the chapter yet (having trouble getting through the movie manga for some reason) but maybe it was just magical damage?

Bardiche doesn't really have a blade after all (not like Laevatein does). And of course since this is the movie manga it's like the action movie version of Nanoha, right? It's just a flesh wound!
