It never reached this level of stupidity tho. It makes all the new SSJ transformations pointless. And those were already bad because of the lack of creativity in their designs. At least in DBZ we had awesome battles with fantastic combos and clashes. Here we have a good episode in that department once in every 15 episodes or so! Toryiama is lucky he is very good at comedy and at creating charming characters, otherwise DBS would flop so hard it wouldn't even be funny

I dunno, I think pink blobs turning people into chocolate and super saiyan 3's look were pretty indicative! Like many of its genre, it just chooses to sacrifice continuity for rule of cool. It's a series that runs on the characters getting ridiculously more powerful and since there's really nowhere to go since we're getting to universe shattering levels sometimes the rules of logic themselves kind of have to be broken. Also, I think one would have gotten used to having old transformations pointless. Rarely does a new transformation or technique even make it into the new saga.

As for every 15 episodes with something happening, that also brings out something else. Super goes a lot faster than Z, I would say!

And yes, overall I think Z has better fights, Even the good episodes in Super have been somewhat dispelled by lame choreography. I blame cheapass Toei. But it's been getting better since the "movie recycle" sagas. Though some would even argue that the original Dragon Ball had even better fights because they didn't have all these OP abilities to destroy everything. Also note that DB at its heart is a comedy too which I think Super came back too more, though I'm not really privy to Goku's characterization in Super too much.

Then again, as long as it has Vegeta making silly faces and going off about pride, I would still watch.

Man, when Goku Black out-teleported Goku by dipping before he got that kick to the face I lost my $hit...

This was probably one of the first episodes they drew the Super Sayain Blue in a manner that didn't look tacky to me...Really enjoyed the Zamas & Black vs. Goku part of the fight...As for the rest I'm just gonna pretend Trunks went SSJ2+ cause that's the only way he got a lick on Black...


The only thing SUPER inconsistent was the way Zamas was drawn, but kudos to him for--what it appears to be--using the dragonballs to wish for a Goku clone?

Zamasu used the dragon balls to create Black and make himself immortal However, he needs the time ring for the 1 year time skip in order to use the super dragon balls, thus where black ends up in the future Trunks timeline.
I still don't understand the timeline. Black appeared before the spar with Zamasu, but Zamasu only obtained the knowledge of Goku's power and Super Dragon Ball after the spar. So how does that work?

I think they are trapped in a loop but we might get a confirmation in the next episode if Zamasu kills his mentor and decides to escape to the future.

Using Dragon Ball Super just to create Goku Black is just waste of the great power. All the things that he wanted can be done with normal dragon ball and namek dragon ball.

I really hope not. That would go completely against my understanding of universes and timelines, which, as I see them, are separate coexisting concepts.

I'm curious about how Zamasu got to know Goku in the first place... I mean, Mirai Goku died before the androids first showed up in DBZ.

Aside from that since he's from Universe 10 what the hell is he doing in Universe 7 in the first place? I mean no one has bothered stopping him since then? Zeno is slagging in his work.

And he's taking an awful lot of time wiping out "humanity" on Earth too. If that's the pace they're going at it's going be a long time enacting his "so called" justice.

I mean it took Buu a few seconds to blow up a planet.

I wonder though if the reason the kis between Zamasu and Black are similar is because he's the God of destruction or something so in order to make sure no one can challenge him he made Goku Black take that spot when Gowasu died?

Supreme Kai died during the battle against Babidi and Dabura, and with him Beerus due to the connection they share. I guess it's assumed that Elder Kai being sealed is the same as not being alive.

Have to watch more to see where it goes. Zamasu seems aware that Goku arrived at their planet. Goku Black may be from Future Trunks timeline since he was still clutching to his heart. All these theories given out about Black being a God of Destruction may have some bearing anyway.

i feel it have more to do with akira poor script skills or lazyness or maybe "age" , cuz as you told he just forget about elder kay and forget which whis is not a god of destruction then he is supposed to be alive while beerus dead, dragon ball is not really a awesome serie when comes to plot and plot holes maybe awesome in being full of then but really storyboard is not a good akira skill, he aways will be the guy which good comedy and fights but terrible storyboard which really only kids can full love and don't mind the mess in the story

i swear zamasu is stupid or i feel he is stupid. Like he gets all bent out of shape and wants to kill all mortals there prone to violence. well the same thing can be said to about him. i swear his a stupid basket case and his true justice or his idea world would be nothing more then life less planets. As all mortal creatures kill to survive so any organic life form aside from plant life would need to be killed. And killing all other organic life will just lead to plant life dieing since a lot of planes require insects to pollonate. but dumbass zamasu doesnt reliase this

actually the " big fat guy" have he is supposed to know everything about everything as he showed that is his power and field.

since the super dragon balls are supposed to be near zeno levels of power then he could have just wished for all the "humanoid species in all universe to be erased and never anyother be created, much more fast and simple to do, but plot ask for him make stupid wishes like create a clone of goku instead of ask for himself be more powerfull than goku, well you know dragon ball amazing plots and "smart villians"

However, this arc's storytelling is getting more interesting with the theories Whis came up with. Guess we'll have to see how much of it will be true regarding Zamasu next time.
