Y'all, you're seriously overthinking the reason why the manga thread was locked. When the current Manga / Light Novel / Web Novel forum structure was created in May 2015, all threads that were inactive (i.e. had no new posts since the beginning of 2014) were locked and left in the Archive section. The Amanchu manga thread had not gotten any new posts in the previous 17 months at the time of the new forum structure, so it was left locked in Archive. Simple as that.

If someone seriously wants the manga thread returned, ask for it in the Work Licensed? Need to Change a Link? Thread Edit Requests Here! thread in the manga forum.

Now, let's get back to discussing the anime version of Amanchu, shall we?

Very unusual imo compared to the other episodes of the seasons. Personally, I find Peter to be such a mysterious character. Really enjoyed watching his character interactions with Ai though.

is one of the highlights of the chapter in the manga.

Regarding the Peter arc and episode 7 [not aired yet, here] ... I'm not asking to look ahead but have a question about the build-up ... How much of the chapter(s) involving Ai leading up to the moment of Peter's introduction has been adapted? Was the sequence changed again for the adaptation? From PV4 and the preview at the end of Ep.6 it seemed like the animators would jump right into the school festival in episode 7 -

and might not adapt the other local festival in which the siblings had a significant role. A role which Ai in particular tried to hide from her school "juniors" / younger diving club members. One of the chapters I was hoping would be adapted. Don't think it had been before episode 6 and

it might be repositioned inside the Peter arc or dropped completely, even though it puts spirituality in a different perspective than if the Peter arc is presented without showing that festival as well ...

If not adapted that might be a reason to request for the manga thread to be reopened.

They indeed jumped right into the school festival, and will continue Peter's story next week. I don't think any of Ai's chapters have been adapted, but it's been a while since I watched the first season.

Word of the day is "Casanova" Peter certainly has a more straightforward approach than Cait Sith, but then again, its probably more fitting Fun start to the magical side of things, and hoping the rest delivers.

The series has been anything but predictable as of late. Things have been enjoyable in but also very unexpected, a far cry from the down-to-earth setup of season one. It doesn't feel like Amanchu! and more like ARIA in some places.

This being said, there certainly isn't themes of spirituality or any of the divergent topics that some purport. This arc is intended to detail the notion of whether or not one can reasonably live in the moment forever, and is a part of why Amanchu!'s second season is called "Advance". Nice and simple.

Ok so Peter Pan is a thing now in this series. Wasn't this a show about girls in a diving club? Some nice undersea visuals, some yuri shipteasing, character development and friendship. Now we're just straight up going into magical and mystical.

Not sure the story needed to go there. All the more so after the mystical was debunked when it came to the whole mermaid thing. But hey let's see where this goes. If nothing else I'm now curious how this school is allowed to have festivals when people are apparently being 'invited' by Peter Pan. You'd think this school would have to ban special events or be crippled by lawsuits.

We already had proto Akari and Aika, now this. References or hints Amanchu! takes place in ARIA's distant past? It's left to the viewers' interpretation. I chose to believe the latter.

Loving this turn of surreality, and I'm with Kanon that this is probably set in the Ariaverse just a few hundred years earlier.

Why, hello there, classy cat, and hello... ok, you're not even going to hide it, then. Fine by me!

That was a way deeper dive into the supernatural that I was expecting, going beyond most of what Aria showed in that regard (except the train scene and the very last one with the cool cat himself, I think) in terms of development. Guess the "advance" subtitle" wasn't just for show. Personally, I'm liking this a lot, probably because, having seen Aria, this comes as nowhere near as jarring as it might be for a first timer, and really, these bits make for nice break frm the usual business with the gang. On that note, I'm glad that, first, Ai is getting more screentime since she's been needing it for a while, and second, that she doesn't seem to be willing to let it go just yet, because the focus really got shifted to Mato-chan there.

As mentioned above, Aria did this as well, altough most of those instances were way more subdued than literally going into dreamland.

Is it possible to sue a place for people getting actually spirited away there relatively often?
