Uh are you implying that the UE simply paid that corrupt Federation officer to sneak in?

If I recall correctly their stealth technology allows them to get in undetected. It was only when they got closer to the Federation's base that the guns opened fire on them.

No. Well to put it bluntly they're too stupid, a little red hair kid could probably sneak into a super secure military compound, maybe even their most advanced ship.

They don't really much of a role to be honest. They just seem there just for the sake of having characters. Not that it's a bad thing...
