Interestingly Macross Galaxy's escort fleet are Meltrandi warships. (Girls woohoo!)

Not that good old Zentradi warships had not been used before. Such as Megaroad 1 and Macross 5.

So that's what Sheryll meant Zentradi are on other ships.

Guess Chlore's fleet went on the escort biz. 14 years earlier they were cultured (turned to fangirls) by Nekki Basara.

The ships I think Meltran ships we saw.

Meltrandi Gunship

Meltrandi picket

Meltrandi destroyer

In an earlier post, you stated:

I am simply trying to tell you otherwise. My post is not an argument about respective Zent and Melt strategies, but a statement about numbers. Pure economics, simple as that. The Queadluuns always outnumbered their human counterparts and certainly not limited in the 'hundreds' as you stated earlier. The Melts seen fewer engagements than their male counterpart, but similar to their male colleagues, the Meltlandi Queadluuns just kept on coming.

Maybe I should look up a pic of a real-life five barreled gattling gun? That one doesn't look quite right to me.

A better alternative is to cap a picture as it's being fired by Alto in ep 1, 2 or 4 [a good one was when he tagged the QR]

It's a five-barrel gunpod. It looks a little odd because the middle barrel on the far side away from the camera protrudes a little from the frame of the gun.

Yeah, but none of those are as epic as Ozma drawing one for the first time.

I guess I just don't know enough about how gattling guns work.

I just realised something about the bio-recycling facilities that support the entire fleet would have a basis in something that's already existing in the macross universe. There's only 1 device capable of breaking down and reconstituting any complex biological system/chemical with a high degree of safety and accuracy- a Miclone chamber.

The possible uses would include recycling the dead, food and organic systhesis and in the case of ep5- dispose of some troublesome alien superweapon

Does that include Cow-Hippo hybrids?

When you think how big are cow-hippos then super-size them in a miclone chamber that's a lot of beef.

Imagine a Zentradi Mcdonald's happy meal.

Though the only known restaurant mega franchise appears to be the one Lynn Minmei's parents started.

Though the chef claims to use natural pork. What there's unnatural pork?

Bio-plant manufactured synthetic meat protein slab. When you get down to it, organic proteins like mean are just carbon, oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen plus trace elements combined in the proper arrangement. Replicate that, and you can artificially make any food item in nature. Replicate the aromatic molecules, and they'll taste the same too.

I was thinking more along the lines of genetically modified space pigs.

What do you mean "possible uses would include recycling the dead"?

It's not "possible" its a certainty.

Just watch episode 02, the dead SMS pilot was dumped back into the biomass recycling process.

This is why they mention in the funeral rites "we remember.....when your flesh....become our flesh...."

Its the most logical conclusion, if you watch that scene.

Speaking of recycling Zent and Meltlandi ships, I wonder if an attempt to revise and upgrade SV-51s from ZERO would be possible in the future. Despite them being the bad guys, the SVs were pretty damn awesome chassis... very fearsome looking, too.

I thinks there's some draw backs to the sv51. I do think it was a superior atmospheric fighter but the GERWALK mode seemed very odd.

The flapping of the wings didn't make much sense and makes me wonder about the usefulness of such a feature.

topic switch. The fold animations seem in Frontier appear a lot more elaborate than in macross 7. Think this is a new fold type or just them taking some artistic license?

A few days late, but...

Quote:
Lets not forget that the SDF-1 had a weapon than can 1-shot a capitol ship as well as execute some unusual tactical manuevers.
The bow cannon of the Macross wasn't exclusive to it. The Zentraedi also had ships capable of the same destructive power.

Human's ability to produce reaction weaponry was one of the major reasons the Zentraedi wanted the SDF-1 intact. The Zentraedi had lost that ability thousands of years ago when the weapon factories that produced them were destroyed by the Supervision Army.

I assume that by "last parts of the op"
Spoiler for you mean this shot?:

I also mean it by "the part where some other fighter is flies past VF-25".
I think that "VF-27"s shape is quite matching.Oh,and sorry if someone thought that I assumed it was Nora's SV51To use that Anti-UN symbol antique during 2059?Plus,I havent gone past Zero ep2 and there is high chance that it will be blown to pieces.
