Apparently people are still stupid enough to actually release true 120FPS encodes (as in, no NULL frames).
What's even more stupid is that these same people responsible for this said that "it doesn't play correctly in MPC, but the problem is not in the video because it plays properly in GOM Player, so you should all use this high-quality media player called GOM Player."

Since it's just a file association, as long as the person playing it doesn't have a retarded media player it's all ok. The publicity doesn't really matter as long as people are using the better alternative. Even if he plays it with retarded-videos-r-us then all the better he switches to something better. Quote:

Well, whatever the offending encode is, I can't imagine it being worse than what Chihiro's been doing to Zettai Karen Children and half their To LOVE-Ru Widescreen releases. It takes a lot of skill to rape the framerate of a 24fps source when your encode is also 24fps, but Zettai Karen Children which is 30fps turned into their 24fps product......

Actually, I checked with Elecard Streameye just now, and it turns out it was just me hoping that it was a troll rather than a stupid person. It turns out that, sadly enough, there really is a group that encodes like this. There are no bframes in this entire episode.
http://ayamachi-subs.org/pics/x264fail.png If there was a facepalm smiley on these forums, I'd use it right now. So hard. (It's not too hard to guess what group this is, btw ) |

But its faster! We encode in baseline profile because then people won't complain about the episodes playing back too slow on their old computers. No-cabac, no 8x8dct, no deblock, and no bframes does have a compression sacrifice, but speed is the most important thing! </troll> |
