Episode 4 was decent yet some parts confused me i guess events here are the set up for things to come.. Episode 5 looks like things will really pick up. I started thinking as well when Yoko asked that question about Himawari. Love how the dreams were contained in balloons. The story really is picking up and i guess Watanuki is starting to learn how he and Doumeki are connected. Shizuka's grandfather was pretty cool and that picture well i dont think i need say anything else.

Not really, Fuuma/Kamui has the advantage of two 2005/2006 CLAMP interviews which they say is parallel to Seishirou/Subaru, only thing is F/K MAY have one shot at happiness. Kuro/Fai is not so obvious as they're not THERE yet + they were asked one question about KuroFai in a convention which went unanswered due to loud cheering (but Ohkawa blushed so red the other three were laughing at her. )

Dunno, DouWata has the added advantage of Yuuko and Himawari being yaoi fans. :P

Yuuko especially, as in one of her comments in a manga chapter, she asked Watanuki where did he go, and when Watanuki said he was at Doumeki's, Yuuko was telling him how 'naughty' he is.

Anyway, carry on, don't mind me, it'll all be all about KOHANE-CHAN NOW.

Looks like Watanuki is making all the right moves in the spirit world. No wonder the Zashiki-warashi has a thing for him. It feels like we're right on the verge of officially discovering Himawari's connection to the supernatural, but as of yet, there still hasn't been anything concrete. I'm definitely interested to see what roll this other girl will play. Watanuki certainly doesn't need any more female admirers at this point.

And now, time for the ambiguous fashion rating! (not a reflection of the overal quality of the episode)

Episode 4: 7/10 - Yuko manages to bump the rating up a few notches with another astounding kimono (or yukata?)! The yellow fabric with purple butterflies gathered at the base and thinning towards the top creates the illusion of movement up the kimono. Her 'out and about' outfit on the other hand, was not particularly inspiring.

-Ara, ara, Watanuki's attempt to blackmail Doumeki failed...
In the meantime, Watanuki and Doumeki gets to bond in a strange way... They get to see what each other sees~, or sometimes, anyways. What a bond.

-And here, we get a 1 sec. flashback for Himawari...
Oh, Yuuko can be such a spoilsport... Please don't interrupt Watanuki's "Himawari moments"... Delicacy zero.

And of course, Kohane, the poor little six sense girl, makes her first live appearance and talks...
Throughout the episode, I had various thoughts on her voice...:
1. She sounds like a little boy?!
2. Where have I heard this voice before...
3. The voice works~
Sometimes felt one way, sometimes another... (-_-). Mah, iika...
Liked the BGM that played during the scene at the shrine at the end.

As for Kohane's mom...
Like a certain angel goes, "pipirupirupirupipirupi～♪".

Not sure which umbrella scene is infamous, but this episode does have Watanuki/Kohane umbrella scene where Watanuki sees Kohane looking at the spirit and brings her to Doumeki's home and an umbrella scene with Doumeki and Watanuki after Kohane leaves.
Oh, and there's a scene where Kohane hugs the umbrella Watanuki lent her.

Lupus has released episode 1. For the sake of everyone asking, "Why should I care about some newcomer to xxxHolic fansubbing?" I'd like to respond that this is the first group releasing in widescreen format. Yay!

Oh, and I'm part of the fansubbing group, so you can be sure that I am completely unbiased and objective when I say that our release is the best. Episode 2 will follow very shortly now. We might even get out episode 2 before episode 3 airs in widescreen.

I checked it out earlier and can vouch for the quality. Very impressed with it. Great subs (I prefer the styling over other current options) and beautiful widescreen. Oh, and softsubbed, which is a huge +++. ^^ Cheers for the great release!

Yes umbrella scene!! And yes Im talking about the DouWata one :P Its just cute that Doumeki scolds Watanuki for being out in the rain and then moves his umbrellla over him.

But I agree with Shiroth and Serenade, Kohane holding the umbrella at the end was just adorable.

Love the conv about the names/honorifics btwn Wata and Kohane and then later Dou and Wata.

Grrr....I extremely dislike Kohane's kaa-san....

Okay, I was gonna ask about why in Episode 4 Watanuki's eyes both looked blue since at the end of 3 they looked two-colored, but I guess in the Episode 5 preview it looks like they're obviously two-colored again.

Anyway.

I liked Episode 4. It was a nice little episode. The dream stuff was pretty cool. I wonder if there is anything and/or anyone Yuuko DOESN'T know?

And evil, blackmailing Watanuki would be SOOOO awesome. LOL

Ok i'm a little bit confused here. Wikipedia is telling me that Kei will last 26 episodes, where MAL is saying 13 in total. Does anyone know what the official announcement was?

At the moment ANN lists it as 13 as well....I HOPE NOT!!
