After watching twelve, I can't believe though I see it.

There's a particular law in anime physics that establishes if male leads tend to be more perverted then less the chances to get a girl. True. But we're shown an extreme opposite of the above statement.

Yuuji chose to heed Kogoro's sensei words and stop his perversions in order to understand Kazuki and win her praise. He even went as far as to get rid of his ero-magazines collection without even whining about it.

Chihaya was at odds and upset about this new Yuuji, who Kazuki firmly believes he's the real one, the one from her childhood. Therefore, Chihaya devised a set of deadly traps, which all of them involved ero ero, for Yuuji to return him back normal; Marie was under watchful eye, as the watchdog she is, to prevent Yuuji from crossing the life.

To Kazuki's joy and everyone's shocked reactions, Yuuji never at all did behave lecherous thus acting oblivious toward anything ecchi.
Marie had a bad feeling, because since oni-sama is no longer acting perverted then she has no more reasons to hold a gun and shoot; believe it or not for myself there's a hinted dependent symbiosis between Yuuji's perversion correlating to Marie's shooting with guns.

The positive effects soon bloomed out and reflected at both home and school.
At home, Kazuki's cooking dramatically improved, for she gives thanks that Yuuji has become the nice and decent boy she recalled in her childhood.
Meanwhile, Yuuji became sort of the cool guy at studies, sports, and club activities that every girl is talking with excitement and admiration making Kazuki feel proud, but Chihaya somehow senses not all's well as it seems.
In effect, several weeks later Yuuji's both physically and psychollogically drained, barely able to walk or pay attention at all, victimized by a daily bad luck streak, and on the verge of falling ill.

All of the girls are sickly worried, particularly Kazuki who cannot comprehend the cause of Yuuji's apparent illness. At home Marie asks Yuuji if it's okay to him not to disclose anything with Kazuki to which he replies he's enduring everything for Kazuki's sake and does not want to make her worry.

Shortly after, Yuuji receives a call from his pops. Marie's keeping something and behaves highly paranoid with guns ready at hand due that Yuuji's not behaving pervertedly.
Hatsune stealthily sneaks behind Marie in the bathroom and quickly dearms her. Hatsune onee-sama subtly and steadily switches to a quasi-oyashiro mode and tries to force Marie divulge the truth taking advantage of the latter's fear of bugs.
You should check out when Hatsune's voice gradually turns menacingly cold while attempting to torture Marie with the bug.

Kazuki recalls the memory about the time she could not give the letter to Yuuji. She was not smiling very much so Yuuji lifted her skirt to get a reaction out of her.
Back to present time, she seems to make a connection between the letter and a particular picture of she and Yuuji.
At that moment, Hatsune bursts in panic and tells her that Yuuji and Marie are moving out.

It was quite a twist, how kazuki has always liked yuuji despite his ecchiness, and had simply forgotten about that side of him. Unlike some people had suggested, he's not an animal at all, he was simply being overly at ease around her. He has demonstrated that he can be whipped into shape, but mysteriously both her older sister and best friend prefer him ecchi. ???

Marie was a bit of a surprise. Apparently she enjoyed shooting her brother with her pellet guns, she wasnt doing it out of necessity at all. She is sad when he stops giving her a pretext to play with him.

I was surprised about her reading her own letter. I guess she didn't feel the need to deliver it after feeling attracted to yuuji again. So it became a plot device of introspection, rather than a way to symbolize their reuninon, as was done in the recently ended tsuyokisu series.

Hrm, I wonder if there can be a happy ending. It doest seem like yuuji has the wherewithal to live were he wants, being a mere high school kid. So no matter how much he likes kazuki, he can't stay with her.

She still hasnt come clear with him yet. (no kiss, no confession, nothing permanent really) Its too bad, because his leaving status is probably going to put the ice on any developments they might have made. Perhaps this is heading for a sad ending??

Yuuji's perverted behaviour would be more attributed to a case of not outgrowing his childish mischievous tendencies (after all, they say "there are some things you can get away with only when you're a kid", and back during those days perhaps Kazuki might have thought it was amusing), and they're slowly turning him into a maniac (which perhaps Kazuki would be thinking at this stage in life). Given that his parents were always out on expeditions, odds are he wasn't given enough proper parental upbringing and discipline, and thus was basically allowed to run amok (as a matter of fact I'm now recalling my times of early puberty where I was also starting to develop perverted tendencies towards my own female relatives, from flipping up skirts to groping in inapproprate places, which back then I honestly though was just fun and games, until my mother stepped in and admonished me for "acting like baby", which basically put that behavior to a stop). In fact if the blog I've been checking out is accurate, what Kazuki wrote in her letter to Yuuji is

thus if she was able to give it to him before he left, perhaps he would have taken it to heart and become a gentleman, that is if he really cared about Kazuki that much.

At least Kazuki is a bit more understanding about Yuuji, but he just needs to tone down a bit rather than keep it all bottled up altogether (or worse, go all out melogamaniac) - perhaps more playful behavior like tickling or "necking" (or perhaps like when Kazuki linked arms with him) would be more acceptable, and by the time they get really intimate as lovers, he could "let loose" again when she's ready for it.

At the rate things are going now though, with the possiblilty of Yuuji leaving, I have a sinking feeling Kazuki might actually do a 180 degree change-of-heart by the next episode and

The funny thing about this show is that while Yuji is a pervert to a certain degree which seems to put off Kazuki, the show constantly remind us that Kazuki is extremely naive as well. I would have loved this show even more if Chihaiya were given a better role than the present, and would have loved it even more if Yuji had fancied Chihaiya.

feeling her up in front of her friends and family is ok, but a kiss would have been awkward! I never get tired of this particular genre.

The series delivered exactly what it promised to the end which is exactly _nothing_.

Somehow, this show reminded me of Lamune, which I loved. The surface was nothing special, but it had a lovely soul. Kanda Akemi (Asuna in Negima) was outstanding as Kazuki, in my opinion. However, I loathed Yuuji from the start. The character design put me off to begin with, and the script and voice-acting finished the job. The character of the little sister was amusing and unique. And Ohara Sayaka as Hatsune was excellent, too. I thought Yuuji's sister's foreign friend Marie was well played by Erino Hazuki, who was Akari in ARIA.

The final episode? Taking into account that the story was completely unrealistic throughout, I could dig it.

The frustration of seeing Kazuki too shy to say anything until after the last minute was excruciating, but I knew all along that something would happen to put things right, so it was bearable.

All in all, a show that was much more fun to watch than it had any right to be.

All that starts well ends well?.... I suppose since both Yuuji and Kazuki admitted their flaws and still can move on the two of them.

How come Kazuki could not remember that Yuuji was doing perverted stuff since childhood?

How come Kazuki could not recall that her cooking tasted that awfully since she was a child and was light stubbornly as she does in the present?

Yuuji remembers too well. I guess that as someone earlier posted, that if Kazuki at that time would have gathered courage to deliver him the letter then Yuuji, for Kazuki's sake, would have outgrown his perverted tics.

It does well to explain why now Marie is bent to pellet him down. She's not only to chastise Yuuji but to help him grow-up and become a better man. Though she was also into that, then it'll soon meant no more fun to her having him gunned down.

We did not have either a kiss or hug, however, we did see upon our eyes that Kazuki at last she doesn't want Yuuji to leave and in spite of being ecchi that he's still a nice guy.

The last episode for most killed me watching Kazuki not taking the initiative and slumbering in her depressive thoughts about Yuuji's depart.

At first I drew parallels between TonaGura! and Love Hina, however, over the run of the series TonaGura! show us how those two teens- Kazuki and Yuuji, came to realise their own flaws and sense them from each other in order to overcome the strains that those defects imposed in their relationship.

Of course, Yuuji has to first slow down his echiness and cast aside most of it in order to keep on being thoughtful of Kazuki's feelings. While Kazuki has to learn to put aside part of her stubborness and listen more on what Yuuji has to say.

Oh dear...
Episode 7 was the best so far imo. I don't think that any episode was as funny as this one. And it's the first episode where we got to see some more action of Hatsune, and her love towards Kazuki
