Funimation just posted their blog for this news so it looks legit, although not sure yet if they are involved in the production.

No. OLM is confirmed to replace Silver Link this time, but director and series script supervisor Masato Jinbo remains the same.

I hope studio and chara-designer change won't make the new season look way worse than the first one. But we'll see. At least director/scriptwriter and seiyuu are the same.

I am surprised there is a "Season 2" of this series now, since the Manga adaptation had ended over 2 years ago, and a new LN volume haven't been released for like 2 years as well. And the WN gets like 2 chapters per year (been like that since 2017).

I guess, maybe they would be focusing on the "skipped" stories from the LN.

They only adapted half of the stories from vol. 1-2 of LN. They have more than enough material for a couple more seasons. Also, S2 was announced along with a bnew manga.
