they are the so-called jewel generation, just survive and be patient for one year and dominate elite ten seat next year to overthrow aizen

Didnt Asami abolish that system? I though that the new top force would be students chosen by him. If that the case, then the jewel generation would be fucked up too, since Asami would know that they want to oppose him.

Me too. While Eizan's all about money, his cooking should be the real deal with how he created so many catering businesses based on food quality alone, like the karaage for example.

I thought so at first too, but we don't know clearly the structure of quality-assurance system (QAS) that Azami was gonna apply; i.e. How he decides who's good at cooking, who's not, and who to put at the top of the regime.

In essence, the old Tootsuki's elite reputation came from the quality of its cooks, which in turn was brought about by a selective meritocratic QAS - they kick out the bad cooks and the ones left are the good ones. Now, even though Azami has abolished that system, as long as he is able to deliver the same outcome (which is high-quality cooks), it wouldn't matter much how he does it. The old system was already unfair anyway, now it's just unfair in a different way.

Which brings us to the crux of the problem: how is he doing it? We know for a fact that Azami's dogma is "High-class food for high-class people", so his obcession with quality is the real deal. He's got the extreme version of Erina's fixation to niche culinary, but the big question AND also Souma's solution to the current problem is: How does Azami choose the ones to be in E10?

Students have to graduate, eventually, so without a sustainable system, the best he can do id taking controll of one generation, only to be banished again in the next. His criteria would have to be people who (1) are great cooks and (2) do what he tells them to do, but given the recent events, I think not many students could satisfy both criterias.

And that's how our MC can fix this problem. They're great cooks to begin with, so now they only have to be better than anyone else and get into the E10. It'll probably be done in a sinhle arc.

Incidentally, I don't think it matters whether Azami knew Eizan cheated or not. They needed a way to stop the flood of Shokugekis, and this is the most effective method. Reputations and the likes can be restored later one way or another.

People don't take him seriously since he "jobbed" to Subaru and his penchant for getting into comedic situations, especially when it concerns Souma.

But it doesn't really matter as he has picked himself up and showed his mettle during the festival. There's also the matter of his beloved Mezzaluna, as well.

Strangely enough, you're right. Can't believe I missed out on that small detail (the offical wikia page should make the necessary amendment, too). While the rich kids will naturally be chauffeured from their homes, the rest are probably residing in rented apartments outside.

I think its fair to say Azami and the higher-ups don't know about this, yet. Although Shokugeki's laws being final and absolute, Eizan blatantly rigged the match, and if Wolverine manages to get hold of evidence [of bribing], he can file a lawsuit against the 9th seat. His expulsion will eventually be reversed, as the author can't possibly just toss him aside.

Really Soma and Ryu spent multiple times chilling with Hayama at his place. They acknowledge him just fine.

Soma was totally disgusted with Eizan and the corruption rampant in his school. So he quit the school and pursuit the lawyet badge so he can put scumbag Eizan and those corrupts behind the bar in the future.
