It did, but to save face, MHA was updated with overseas sales, so the latest data is 65 million vs. 60 million. But a Jujutsu volume sells at least 1 million copies more than an MHA volume, so it doesn't matter, Jujutsu is a bigger success.

Looking forward to Hidden Inventory and Shibuya.

Who cares? MHA is a monster hit and hasn't seen its own sales fall off at all. JJK being bigger is irrelevant to MHA - JJK's only real competition is Kimetsu anyway, as it's easily the second biggest blockbuster of the past half-decade.

So basically four episodes for Gojo's arc? Still, for all those recaps it seems Mappa is busy with something else.

Edit: Maybe the recap might expand more on the old times of Gojo and Geto?

The opening is out. While I'm not a big fan of the song yet, the visuals and incredible amount of movements they used for the sequence is amazing. In contrast to the first opening, the sky is noticeably "more blue" probably to reflect how carefree is Gojo

Pretty weird to start a new season with a flashback. I don't really remember how the first season ended but I don't think it was hinting the series would launch a flashback arc. And it's apparently going to take the whole first cour? Geez.

Anyway, I guess I found it interesting Geto's philosophy in the past was the absolute opposite of his current one, and it'll be interesting to see what caused him to change this much. But does it even matter since he was killed in 0?

So since the OP doesn't show a single character from the first season, this is gonna be an entire cour on Satoru's past?
I think its kinda obvious that the entire thing is gonna lead to Satoru and the extramarital affair guy switching places, where Satoru starts immature and grows calmer while the other guy starts calm and goes crazy

Shouldn't they call this Season 0 or Origins or something?

The animation itself was pretty good, though it definitely was... strange compared to season 1. The CG-ish strange animation at the beginning was pretty icky, but the comedic strangeness later on was okay, I guess

I guess the main problem right now outside of the predictable result of this past arc is that there is probably gonna be a lot of the two male leads acting slick(?) and handsome(?) on-screen. For obvious reasons, I could not care less about seeing that

Where Season 1 ended, the following chapter or subsequent happening is the closest to a "filler". Then the chapter that follows said "filler" is the start of the flashback, but it also happens from nowhere.

It won't be a full cour though. It's about 13.5 chapters total. 5 episodes should be fine.

Wow, Takahiro Sakurai can really make Geto sound younger. I was surprised by his deliveries. Gojo steals the show for me as he is cocky as heck but he still is victim of karma.

I wouldn't call flashback arc that gives insight on every single important character "filler". I would go as far as to say, it's more relevant then majority of 1st season.
