The english subbed version has been release for the OVA as of today. i used animeultima.com not sure if other sites have subbed version.

yeah i know been a while eratas. just i went through a little bit of a depression period but i am better now and i still need to make those other characters for the infinite stratos fanfiction i was planning on making.

I got some really bad news for you guys.

The contract ended with MF, and basically they aren't continuing. Yumizuru tried to go Dengeki, but Dengeki said no too. Dude went back to MF and they still say no. Basically, IS has no publisher now, so the OVA might be the last work you ever see from this series.

There are also a ton of negative new surrounding this author, and I rather not talk about 'em, but as it stands, this looks like the end of the line (unless he does manage to get through to the other publishers like the post suggests, which I highly doubt).

I figured, but there's enough of the novels already published that they could make another season, still, if there aren't going to be any more novels for the couple of years then we may never see the story completed even if they make a 2nd season of the anime.

My feelings of the series aside, I haven't exactly been following the news about IS but this certainly came out of nowhere for me; I don't know what's going on behind the scenes but I thought the series that sold 30K+ in dvd/bd would have it's future secured at least awhile longer

What exactly has the author been doing? It seems like he's been getting a bad reputation.

Not writing and unlike other authors that hasn't push out new books, he keeps his blog updated with entries like he bought a house and costed like 1 million something yen, then few months later he bought 4 DS together and that costed over 110k yen. Basically, he kept a diary of him playing games and nothing related to work = mad fans, and he cares about numbers ... alot but spends a lot too ... I don't think he meant to come off that way, but I guess he just has low EQ or something.
