Nearly all of "Miki's funny moments" got cut in this episode, which is bit of a shame.

Damn, the P.I.'s family got caught in the crossfire after all. He might try to get back at Reiko by doing the same to her baby.
It'd be pretty interesting if Reiko came out of this skirmish unscathed. Even she'd have some trouble fighting against three of her own kind. I'd have liked it more if the show spent a little more time humanizing her so the viewers could develop a sort of love-hate relationship with her. It'd take a little more than a short scene of her enjoying nurturing her child to make me cringe when she eventually meets her inevitable end. Who knows though, the detective might still be able to evoke a solid human reaction from her when he puts a knife to the baby's belly. It'll be the first time when she finally learns what fear truly means. As for the centerpiece of the episode, the clash between the two advanced parasites was every bit as enthralling as I expected it to be. Who freaking knew that Miki was the same stoic guy (or at a least a part of the collective) who was playing the piano? Migi really saved the day by some quick thinking, but I think they managed to survive only because Miki was underestimating them. I don't think the second confrontation will end in Team Migi's favor if they don't come up with a plan fast. Goddamn this show! |

Man, poor P.I., this is a horrible experience for him, one where you'd rather prefer death than witnessing this kinda scene. :C
Reiko becomes more and more "humanish", so much that even her own peers start to see her as threat and want to kill her to be "safe". 3 vs 1, I dunno if Reiko can survive this unscratched, it is a long time ago since I have last read this manga, but from the looks of it, Reiko will most likely die while the detective will survive together with the baby. |

I forget, when did Shinichi recognize the guy's face from after he switched?
So many battle fronts. Murano in danger status as well I think Reiko is going to destroy these noobs. Detective is going to kidnap the baby. Reiko is going to freak out about that.

Damn, I'm so glad that they skipped the slaughtering part of P.I. family, it was already painful just with the bits they showed. Ahh, and now even the baby. Best episode so far, I liked that miki outclassed Shinichi. Very intense fight, miki seems like the ultimate parasite. His piano's skills are the most effective proof how strong he is being able to use and coordinate perfectly 5 parasites at once.
Looking forward to Ryouko developments, after Kana's dismiss this show needs a girl/woman character, since well Murano doesn't stand in such a role, and after all how she could. After all this show has the guts to do what is expected considering the settings, retaliate against friends and family.

Pretty dumb move to go after Reiko like that (on both fronts). Though I can't blame the detective much since he's a bit nuts from despair and loss. The parasites are just being stupid. They've managed to get by this long and don't comprehend the danger of human society. Stand out too much and humanity will combine and wipe them out.
Good job by Shinichi staying alive. I guess his emotional problems have to take a back seat to his actual life right now.
