Episode 12:
Hmm...so that was resolved after some teamwork and planning. Overall, the finale felt rushed as this arc should of been longer with the buildup and development imo. Good part is that we got to witness all the witches one last time so they didn't neglect anyone. Yamada also got his weekly kiss as usual. It also looks like Yamada's wish in the end was to eliminate the witch's powers. The confession from Yamada in the end didn't surprise me that much either. For a delinquent, he is quite a selfless character. Sigh, I really wish this was a 2 cour adaptation. I wonder what Miki Yoshikawa will say about this adaptation at the Anime Expo to come next week.

Rushing done right I’d call this. What a freaking unexpectedly good anime we got here. I guess the complaint as an anime-only viewer that I’d have is that because it’s just one cour with obviously tones of material to cover, there aren’t any breathers between the events, often making it hard to keep up with what’s happening. We probably missed some more characterization regarding the other witches in the process(we got plenty of Nene though) but in they did still had their moments. 2-cour's would've fit it perfectly.
Also a satisfying conclusion giving the us the much-wanted and long-coming Yamada & Shiraishi pairing. I am a bit sad though, that with Yamada’s decision for the witch powers to disappear this means this is the last we’ll see of Yamada & the 7 witches in anime form. Quite satisfied with the anime though I’ll probably hit up the manga too. |

The only thing that I had a problem with was that it was really rushed. So obvious too. And also, not as important, but the fact they seem to have a contract or something where they HAVE TO play the OP every single episode. Other than that, it was enjoyable. It was "well done" despite how they had to cram in stuff in order to get to the end of the story (though the manga continues after all of this). It was fun seeing the VAs act out different characters when they get body-switched. And what is unfortunate is that in order to read both the non-rushed story as well as the continuation, you have to go to the manga. But unfortunately, the manga's artwork really isn't... that great. The anime's designs are quite better.

So to wrap things up..
I'm going to go and say I rather enjoyed this show. The romantic comady was that delightful breed of naughty, without being tacky. The characters were fun and interesting, and the soundtrack/animation was fairly good. I don't think it did anything ground breaking, and it did have some pacing issues in the latter half, but it had a proper ending and most importantly it delivered what it sold. So I'm going to give it a nice solid B and rec it to others. |

Ending is nice
But I still think the rushing makes the series a bit boring, some plots was skipped or changed, and lots of surprise early revealed (so it's not a surprise anymore). I think if they didn't rush and compress all the plots, it might have lasted more than 20 episodes. They should have made it a continues series that goes straight into next seasons (the next batch of witches) Doing so will allow them not to rush the "first batch of witches" and give up a lot more character development and actual "mysteries" that isn't revealed by episode 3... IE: combine the seasons into one long season of maybe 36 episodes. |

i understand peoples complaint for being ruhed but if the drama dragged on this long i woulda killed myself. the last witch arc was a drag and i cant see myself dragging anime. i like how it got straight to the point. yes it coulda went the route of being fun with the harem but that really wasnt what the arcs wanted to prove. the witches arcs all lead to this finale. i rather get my plate while its still hot. frankly the manga isnt really the best piece of work in the first place and it falls off after this set of witches. this was the perfect place to stop at and to get there it needed to be rushed. honestly the rushed direction didnt even feel forced or unnatural. unlike bryhildr where things started to not even make sense anymore. this was smooth for the most part. people wanted more character interaction but all i wanted was to see a conclusion to a problem.

Most people watching anime wants to see character development and not just random jumps or skips or anime itself spoiling what's to come... This series got bored at episode 3 for most people because everyone already know the set of witches... Which the manga make it a mystery where Yamada goes around and slowly solves the puzzles to find who's the witch and what their powers are without telling us who's the witch before the witch actually uses their powers. (and not placing up the Ending spoiler as cover page....) As for next batch of witches... it's not that bad in the manga. It's mainly to tell us about Yamada and what his life was like BEFORE he met up with the first batch of witches and even more mysteries surrounding both the current year's group and Yamada's last year's group. And Yamada's "relationships". |

Ok, so I just watched the entire series and loved it. See these type of Harem Anime I like, not too much fan service but good romance and an actual adorable conclusion. I didn't read the series so I was disappointed with the series as I'm sure some of you were who did but. It turned out to be one of my favorites
