Hmm....

Well that was fun overall. Ho Ho Ho was more cuter than I had thought. Milinda got her own moment as well at the end when hopped right into Qwenthur's arms. :P

Overall decent series. Nothing was announced so the show is pretty much over with no other animated content to debut in the future from what I know.

Well it's over, but first there are some points where I can expose the way I feel about the adaptation.

1) I'm a fan of the LN since vol 1 came out so my opinion can be a little bit biased, this adaptation did a good job showing the source, not the best tho but is decent enough to show the fun and how likeable are the characters.

2) There are lots of details, explanations, interactions between the characters, motivations and more stuff missing here. I feel like that was a huge part of the story in the LN that catch my attention but the anime didn't have them so IMO that's why so many anime only viewers feels a disconnection between the episodes and how everything was developed.

3) Tecnicism about the objects and the world in general was missing too.

4) The AWFUL QUALITY, jesus christ the animation was so poorly done and HO don't deserve that.

This being said, overall the anime did a decent job, not the best one so my final veredict for this adaptation is a 6/10.

Lots of Ohoho.
They actually destroyed Baby Magnum.
Quenser was actually sent to the hospital for once.

Overall, I liked it.
I wish the animation was better/10.

In the end I thought this might take another episode, but I suppose that would have been pushing it. This was one big battle, only so long they could keep that going.

On the point of animation...I thought it was fine. Sure like most shows I'd be all for better, but it wasn't below average or anything.

A pretty good last episode. Qwenthur hasn't taken a beating like that since ironically the time they captured Slide and they got pretty brutally hurt by taking on that Object. Nearly straight up killed this time around.

In the end the tricky thing wasn't stopping Baby Magnum it was saving Milinda and they did that in outstanding fashion. And of course it related to their original conversation. I didn't think the only thing that mirror would be connected to was making sure she didn't kill Qwenthur. But hey...I think she's ok with that .

Good moments. Ohoho was pretty nice and certainly Qwenthur needed all that MC harem lead charm to get everyone on board.

Even ends with Qwenthur catching Milinda and off they go on a fun date.....with Havia .

Solid show, 7/10.

Simple final episode, I'd hoped that the anime original finale would be better, but besides some dumb moments in the previous episode it wasn't so bad. It had some good moments with Quenser, Heivia, Milinda and Oh Ho Ho and the way they defeated the Baby Magnum was decent enough, so much better than how Railgun anime faired.

Overall, I liked the adaptation. It had good pacing, most of the stuff they cut was understandable and reasonable and they even made some small changes that improved the show. I just wished they hadn't included all the stupid original fanservice in the first 12 episodes. I'm glade that I got to see Quenser and Heivia taking out Objects in anime form.

7.5/10, would have been an 8 if not for JCStaff's insistence of adding more fanservice to a series that already has enough.

Maybe I miss something. Who gave Helvia a radio?

The Information Alliance likely gave Heivia his radio back after they finished treating him, just like they returned Quenser's when he asked for it.

"Aishiteruze, baby!"

Yo, that finale when the OP2 kicked in was super hyped !!! And well played, they made us focus on the mirror so obviously that the true chekhov's gun was the entire CVD process that Qwenthur used The Information Alliance being willing to help out for free was a bit convenient but other than that it wrapped up neatly.

While it had a bit of a weak start trying to find it's groove, I thought Heavy Object steadily improved throughout. I love the concept of a mecha series without the usual pilot MC with a 'special' machine from the start. Love all the characters but the main duo of Qwenthur and Haivia really is the best buddy pairing (without shipping implications) in Anime. From an adaptation point of view it really went a lot better than I would feared- mainly it didn't suffered from the rushed pacing that plagued alot of JC Staff's LN adaptations and personally I thought the compromise that they did end up making were reasonable. The added fanservice in the first half was hit and miss but I think someone must have told them to cut it out because they were almost absent in the second half.

It's a long shot to get a second season, but at least it got a good adaptation. There were some LN series whose fans got royally screwed from having a crappy adaptation (cough35cough). All in all I'm satisfied.

On the positive side, at least the solution to saving the Princess wasn't as bad as once feared with her mirror pendant. I just wish they had made it more clear early on that she had to remain in the Object to be affected by the brainwashing. Telling us now makes it feel like they realized they wrote themselves into a corner and are retroactively trying to find a loophole to not destroy any further anime seasons.

Not sure why this surprises you. It was destroyed in Episode 1 too.

ohohoho~ won my heart in this chapter blushing all the time. It was a good ending for a great serie, I enjoyed more than I though and I hope there's a second season some day.
Qwenthur and Havia are weapons now, send then to the battlefield to end the enemy Object, they don't need Baby Magnum anymore.

8/10

That was a nice way to wrap everything up. I thought the mirror would be the key to stopping Hime, but I was wrong there. The part where the OP started playing in the background was great.

Overall it was solid show and a nice adaption. Qwenthur and Hevia were an entertaining pair and the show had more than its fair share of moments. The show didn't seem to suffer from an extreme cases of rushing and the cuts they did made sense. They even toned down the fan service that was present in the first half of the series. I don't have high hopes for this to get a second season, but I'm still glad we got this show.

7.5/10

Finally, they revealed what the CMB stood for: it was "Consolidation Maneuver Battalion".

I was under the impression that it was 'Combat Maintenance Battalion'. That does sound better, though.

That said, they don't seem to do much 'maneuvering'; go, set up a base, send Object. Then again, maneuver warfare wouldn't really come up in a 'clean' war, so...

Okay this arc ended a lot better than started at least.

IMO, HO was pretty bumpy quality-wise when it initially started (despite the phenomenal audiovisual of the premier) particular when came to tone, comedy and questionable world building, but definite found it's stride near the end of first half. I think If you can buy into show's flow it's quite fun. The characters on a whole don't develop much (if at all really) nor do they start out with depth, but their pretty well characterized quite likeable. I guess in a primary action orientated you don't need much more than that.

If this gets a unlikely 2nd season, I'm on board. If not, this works pretty well as ending.

Hey at least they didn't have him working around like nothing was wrong with his leg.

Lel watched all 15 episodes just for 1 non-moving/non-voiced scene in the end with the fiancee? So much WERF! XD

Starting to love Ohoho though. Maybe because she finally did a real ojou-sama bitch laugh, maybe because she looks like she genuinely cares about Qwenthur doing things for him with no reward, but she was the star of the final arc IMO.

From the standpoint of someone who watched this series without reading the novels, it was pretty damn satisfying. It had a bit of a rough start at the beginning but this entire series closed up pretty nicely.

While I do wish the first half of the series had less fanservice, I am glad that the second half toned it down.

All in all, I give this series a solid 8.5/10 with most of the points being lost on animation.

Now then, time to crack open the novels.

Just how much does the Intel Union love Rush to have two units of it? Anyway hell yeah for a great finale episode. I wonder just how serious Qwenser was with his "aishiteruze baby" line this episode. It's clear he's willing to risk his life for her but how much of attraction to Millinda is underneath it?
