CHOCO seems like has a difficulty to grasp the design of madoka as the imouto of chifuyu... that lead to that picture.

Choco just can't draw consistently.

His mechanical design look cool and better than Okiura... except they change in literally every appearance.

Also can't draw B/W illustration worth shit, Okiura can make both color and B/W pages looks equal in quality.

Chifuyu knew Tabane WAY before Ichika was even born.

Well Tabane looks like she loves Houki and to everybody else it looks like she's doting on her younger sister but in actuality the Akatsubaki built specially for the little sister with all the fancy next gen doohikies is actually just one big giant experiment.

You mean to tell me Izuru went with the omniscient third person perspective narration to explicitly say Tabane has known Chifuyu since primary school at the lastest? Which is the most likely since my rough calculations have Ichika as a child while Chifuyu is in junior high?

The third person narration explicitly said Tabane meet Chifuyu early in the grade school, and Tabane so fixated on Chifuyu that she hacked school computer so they will always be in the same class.

Well before Ichika was even born, or created in a lab, or cloned, whatever.

It seems that sometimes people forget that Chifuyu isn't 2-3 years older, she's 9 years older than Ichika, and so is Tabane to Houki. There's a really big gap between her first meeting with Tabane and Ichika meeting Shinonono family, a gap that contain many key to Tabane's true character and how I.S. was born.

Must've been the later volumes, that or I wasn't paying enough attention to what I was reading

Wow, discussing all this makes me feel like I should go back into IS writing again just to piss off the general fandom.

Though I think of something odd when you tell me it was stated that Tabane and Chifuyu knew each other since elementary school years. That kind of knowledge is rarely ever stated outright as absolute by the third person omniscient narrator but instead drawn by the omniscient third person narrator from the knowledge iside an actual character's head. That is to say if the narrator would describe the relationship between Tabane and Chifuyu while fully following the actions and thought processes of Chifuyu then it would mean that the fact they knew each other since elementary would have been stemmed fom Chifuyu's own memories rather than a hard fact the narrator corresponds to the common sense of the world.
