On a related note, Newegg has Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 CE for $34.99/$39.99 with free shipping. I guess companies are trying to unload as much FPS games as possible before MW2 hits? ;p

I know the Ryu ga Gotoku 3 demo is 1.2GB which is pretty large.
Approximate the same size, i think it is 1196MB(?). It shouldn't be a problem, unless you have tranfer cap on your internet connection. Demos are much larger nowadays, then again it is a demo, play the demo, delete it and buy the game or not. There is no point keeping demos on the HDD.

that being said has there been any way to get .mkv playing on it yet (preferable h264) and since h264 mp4 don't play nor the same in an avi container, the same question goes for them also.

thanks,
yes, PS3 media server. stream from your computer to the PS3.

i personally use; http://ps3mediaserver.blogspot.com/

Which means you have to connect your PC and PS3 together?
I'm not familiar with this stuff, sorry.

nah, i have my ps3 on wifi and i just open the ps3 media server w/ my cpu:

then go to ps3 video/music section(which ever one you doing. watching video/listening music from your cpu to the ps3) then you'll see this new green arrow icon(should be around the top). press triangle on that, and look for where the file is. if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask

I'm pretty sure there are tools out there that remuxes mkv into either vob or m2ts, which then would be playable on the ps3.
BTW, streaming is probably one of the worst ideas out there. You have to run two machines to watch a video, that is just waste of energy.

Is it possible to connect the PS3 to the laptop via usb cable?

I mean it is possible to do it for the psp and that some people do dump PS2 bios by connecting it to the laptop. And thus, shouldn't it be possible for the PS3 as that it can use any laptop HDD as its own?

some work and some do not, it depends on the sub group. like some of the fast subbers (AOSHEN for FMA) their mkv subs do not work. [Chihiro]_To_Aru_Kagaku_no_Railgun_-_01v2_[1280x720_H.264_AAC][A67351B0] works. i guess what i am tryin' to say is that the peopl actually take time to make their subs look great normally work.

btw, you can stream anime sites on the ps3. animevide & animeseason works on the ps3. friend tried it at my house, said he wants to get a ps3 to stream anime on his tv lol

btw #2, if the anime lags. go to transcoding settings tab -> then look for VIDEO QUALITY SETTINGS and where it says "Mpeg2 Video quality settings(.....)" set it to something lower if you having problems watching it

White Knight Chronicles Knight Transforms Into Idolm@ster Star

Well.. I thought the Knight figurine and also outfit was pretty awesome but now.. What is this!? Actually, I don't have the slightest clue as to why the White Knight has an Idolm@ster mask. What's the point of it? So, the popular Idolm@ster group is now going to promote Tri-Ace's White Knight Chronicles? I doubt its the other way around..

Either way, this is awesome!

I don't stream video since Playstation 3 doesn't have Wireless N support, which will make playback smoother since the transfer rates of Wireless N is alot higher. I end up re-encoding the files and copying them over to the Playstation 3 using a USB flash drive, which is the best solution, although I have a computer (Mac mini) that I leave on 24/7.

Wireless B is more than fast enough to stream videos, I have Streamed from my PC a 1080p SW: revenge of the Sith AVI with 5.1ch sound lag free which is about 7gb in size.

Wireless is just not very for games.

AUS Bayonetta Limited Edition.

Speaking for which, I've finished up my first run through of the game. Fun game there, enjoy it more than UC2 and Sigma 2. Could be my action game for the year now.

Though I must comment that the sexual tones are a bit on the high side with some of the more ranuchy lines ("Do I looked the type who like children ? But making them however....."), tease (*taunting enemies by spread legs wide apart* and goes "Come on !") and attacks (executing a femaline shape enemy bondage style on a wooden horse.)
