hey guys, i was just wondering....

you know, in other animes, the heroes all have a certain motivation behind why they are doing what they are doing, like naruto and kenshin who want to protect their friends... shirou in fate/stay night has this idealistic dream of becoming the protector of justice... Ginta in MAR who wants to save the country of MAR heaven.... and even Tetsu in peace maker kurogane who's main motivation is revenge.... but in kiba, Zed's motivations are mentioned in ep 12 where he says he wants power just for the sake of becoming stronger for himself right?

i thought that was quite interesting cuz he does not fall in the cookie cutter anime hero types...to me, he doesn't feel like a hero, but just someone who wants power for the sake of it..sounds more towards the evil side...

just wanted to hear u guys' opinions on this...hope you all can understand...feel free to correct me or ask me to stfu if u can't make sense of what i'm saying

Well.... he's just like his spirit. Just doing what he feels that is right. I think he does have a motivation, but we'll see it in later episodes. And the reason may be directly connected to his mom

I agree that his motovation will come from his Mother, we just haven't seen it yet. He's not all that of a complicated character yet, so we'll have to wait for things to develop.

And ass-kicking he does. Kiba ep. 13 summary and pics. Zed seems to have made huge jump in combat abilities. This was a fast paced episode, and there are some deaths in this episode as well.

That's the weird thing about this anime that I like. F*** the training, steal the spirts. Maybe that's why they introduced early the concept of people stealing other people's spirits, because the power only lies within these orbs. I mean, they go into their bodies for God sakes. Maybe the spirits intertwine with them, allowing them to take on new abilities like Zed showed in ep. 13. Materia, anyone?

Heh, me too. The suspense has been killing me from the get go. I mean this kid, Zed apparently has the most powerful spirit, so powerful it chooses its own possessor, and yet he couldn't unleash it.

I thank the gods of anime for this episode, my thirst for ownage has finally been quenched.

I'm really starting to love this show.

I wanted Zed and Noah to see each other! But now, it was not to be. Oh well. I want to see more about Noah, he is an interesting character to me. But right now he seems to be living a peaceful happy existence. So it's not quite as exciting as Zed pwning people.

Zed's new spirit is cool, it's like a kickboxing, fire-breathing, bird thingy.

...It was an odd episode. Defeating of Dumas and that nutty kid kind of happened in a quick fashion but plenty of action in this ep anyway so not so much to complain about I guess. I can see that this anime isn't exactly going to be anything exceptional but that much was obvious for a while.

Hm I was thinking that Rebecca wanted to end her own life, since she was talking about wanting to be reincarnated as a bird. And I saw no real reason for her to just fall over, so I assumed she jumped off somewhere. But after another look, they didn't actually show her fall and the surroundings didn't give the impression there was any elevation or cliff nearby. So I'm not really sure now what the hell she was doing.

Episode 13 was engrossing. I much prefer the fast pacing of plot and combat. The few more battles he has fought since arriving at Jimoto must've improved his skills, but still, it does seem a bit quick how he attained that level of ability, surpassing both Dumas and Graujio. I guess obtaining that soul of power last episode bolstered his strength and skills as well. Roia is starting to look more like a damsel in distress. She was pretty cute there when she saw Zed return to the group. And poor Rebecca, liked a cornered rat, whose will and emotions has been completely trounced over. She has suffered the most.

Spoiler: That summary of episode 13 looks AWESOME, and I got to thinking about how his battle skills changed so drastically. Is it because he was facing Dumas, and wanted to teach him a lesson? I don't know. I was also thinking that maybe the spirits that they possess have a direct effect on the owners battle capabilities. Seeing how Amil Gaul doesn't seem to be "connected" with him as of yet, his battle abilities would most likely suffer a bit. Now that he's gotten a new one that seems to jive with him, his own fighting abilities went up with obtaining it. I know it sounds rather silly, but it's an idea all the same.

rarukyu umeboshi Join Date: Dec 2005	Spoiler for warning..do not click here if you haven't yet watched ep 13: i liked this episode where we finaly see some action where zed kicks butt. but...to think he'd turn out to be super strong in over the episode where he obtain's Rambos (ep 12) well strong enough to kick duma's butt where robes was having quite a hard time with. and aside from that beating the kid who was much stonger then dumas (one of hyu's right hand henchmen) defeated quite quickly. i don't know but to me it kinda seemed rushed. well the part of zed being super good in fighting i mean. annnyways i still enjoyed this episode cause well zed kicked butt haha and we see him easily summon one of his spirits, rambos. it was pretty cool how he jumped in to save not only roia but robes too. yay zed haha

Trax Rock beats scissors Join Date: Jul 2004	Spoiler for ep13: Episode 13 had some nice action, although I kinda dislike Zed suddenly showing combat skills out of nowhere. Roia tried something to help Robes but froze up again when she was threatened. It's a shame that Elda and Rebecca died, unfortunately Jimoto is a bit of a screwed up country which ultimately drove Rebecca to her death. So now Hugh is the undisputed leader of Jimoto and has the spirit he was after, he'll be even more of a threat now.
