And it's one such Villainess fangirl who gets reincarnated into the body of her favorite Villainess, and now that she has the opportunity she's going to own it Become a Villainess That Will Go Down in History .

The OP is pretty sweet and cute with Alicia growing up, dealing with the various figures in her life, swordfights, and her romance with Duke! We've even got him princess carrying her when she's gone full Chuuni with the eyepatch .

Alicia such a high-spec Villainess her family is voiced by top tier seiyuu! Mai Nakahara as the mom! Kazuyuki Okitsu as the dad! Ryota Ohsaka and Kohei Amasaki as her brothers !

A black-haired Villainess with a dark magic attribute? Why do I feel like I've seen this before ?

Alicia is nothing if not determined! She'll put in the work, both in terms of exercise and reading, to become the most top-tier Villainess she can be !

I love how all the romance targets have color-coded hair to denote their magic affinity .

What luck that the Main Hero of the story and game, Prince Duke Seeker (Kaito Ishikawa!) was already Alicia's favorite when she played the game! And she still finds him attractive, even if she's fine leaving him to be romanced by the Heroine. Though her determination and grit already has caught his eye .

So is the eyecatch just going to be Alicia at every age with her making cute comments about herself ?

Alicia looks so adorable in her training outfit and ponytail! And when she thinks keeping her work ethic a secret from her family makes her a Villainess !

Imagine asking an eight year old about complex political matters, though to Alicia's credit no self-respecting Villainess could refuse a chance to plainly state facts and come up with legitimate political deals that will benefit the kingdom. Could any goody-goody Heroine do that ?

Oh hey, Takehito Koyasu as Duke's dad, the king! He seems to have a lot of respect for Alicia but it seems like the Heroine (who is, of course, a "Saint") is fated to be with his son, though it seems like their union won't exactly make everything so hunky dory...and that's not even taking into account what Duke wants, when he only seems interested in Alicia. Who, for her part, is already willing to use the Villainess excuse to refuse to give back a diamond necklace he gave her .

The ED is really cute with child Alicia, her bunny plushy, and all her favorite sweets !

First episode was interesting enough, we don't get enough eyepatch villainesses. Not sure how I feel about Alicia's seiyuu; she seems to be a relative newcomer. Picked up regardless, I'm a sucker for villainess series and there was a painful lack of them in summer.

This was nice. Production values could be better, but at least Alicia is at least trying to be a villainess. Of course her being so diligent will probably put her on the "Takes over for the heroine" path, but what can you do?

At least the main character is running with the concept full of passion. People loving villains is nothing crazy or new anyways. But I'd like to think that most people that like villains wouldn't want to be one in actuality. Some things are only fun because they aren't real. So she's left either not being or not being allowed to be as evil as she wants to be or she's going to be a total scumbag. Seems like the former. Someone that's in love with the idea of being a villain but doesn't actually have it in her to be evil. Her idea of evil is making good business deals where both sides benefit .

The interesting thing is also the inconsistent thing. She loves this character for being evil and stuff. But she also actively lives in ways that character wouldn't. Acting against type makes sense for those that hate or reject the character they are reborn as. It's not totally bad since people can dislike or want to change parts of characters that they do like. But it's funny how she fell so hard for this character, but outside of wanting to be a villainess...she's nothing like her. She's so not like her that even her family is confused. Although that's fair...since their family member was effectively eradicated and replaced by a completely different person .

It's a cute and silly show. I was curious going into it whether she'd be truly evil or just a Bakarina style idiot. She'll make decisions that are good with the intention of being evil, but will just not be seen that way. The real question is how they'll handle the original heroine. Whether she'll be made evil to balance things out or she'll be a fangirl for the main character?

Not bad. But may only give this another episode to decide if I'll stick with it or not.

Yeah, also interested if the original heroine will be type a.) admires the villainess or b.) is a sociopath (and maybe also a reincarnator) who gets exposed by the villainess. Seems to be the two ways those shows go so far.

This is basically 1:1 Bakarina's anime except the girl isn't dumb as a rock and fully embraces being a villainess. I was completely won over by the heroi- villainess' enthusiasm. Definitely rooting for her to get everything her way.

So Duke has some kind of contracted spirit named "Mel?" And he's making his own political moves? I wonder what that's about ?

No self-respecting Villainess could talk about the status of a village without experiencing it firsthand! And somewhat more ACTUALLY Villainess-y is sneaking out of the house under the cover of night .

Wow, they were underselling how bad it was in Loana. It's a slum of a village with nothing to make it worth living in, and people are stuck there because it's a penal colony. As such Alicia is lucky she met a nice and reasonable guy like Will compared to the alternative .

Will is a former noble who went against the norm of the kingdom and lost his sight and his position because of it, but it hasn't dimmed the wisdom and ethics he values as he gives Alicia some solid advice and proves a great sounding board for her path to being the best Villainess. In the most unexpected places, Alicia gained a grandpa !

Nothing more Villainess than flexing your knowledge like it's the most natural thing in the world. And it seems like Alicia is already more popular than the Heroine because the guys all want a chance with her, and Duke doesn't care for any rivals .

Alicia one of the most spirited 10 year olds of all time! She even wants to take the swordsmanship test! Though rather than underestimating her ability because she' so young and a girl, her family fully recognizes how skilled she is even compared to her older brothers. She's just too young to stand out so much. I mean, she is still a 10 year old clutching her rabbit plushie when she's mad .

Alicia was told not to show up to Loana during the day and it's obviously because the condition in the village is even worse, with people beating on and killing each other, even children. And it makes Alicia realize just how privileged she is in her station, and how powerless she is to really do anything .

But no Villainess is going to be outdone by her circumstances OR the Heroine, which means doing what she can and promising to learn and train all she can to become an even more capable and powerful Villainess .

So did Alicia's magic potential just...reveal a book shelf with all the magic grimoires she could want? Was it always there or is her magic potential so high that she basically summoned it? Either way, our Villainess has finally unlocked magic .

An audience with the king is the perfect opportunity to show off how far Alicia has come as a Villainess, complete with criticizing the class system and standing proud even when she has a splitting headache from working too hard with her magic. But she keeps impressing the king with her brazen but sincere words and values !

For someone who is the Villainess instead of the Heroine, Alicia keeps getting into Heroine-like situations with Duke...whether it be him immediately realizing she wasn't feeling well, catching her when she falls, carrying her to bed, tending to her while sick, and of course using a kiss to give her medicine .

Isn't she like... ten years old? Prince Duke (weird having a noble title as your name and a royal title attached) looks to be late teens. Guess he likes to rob the cradle, lol

The writer is practically screaming that Alicia is going to somehow take the kid in. Curious to see how she manages to convince her family for that.

It didn't hit me last episode, but given the age gap, I'm wondering how Alicia and the heroine's "rivalry" is supposed to work. Won't the heroine have graduated by the time Alicia enters the academy? That's usually always where they end up meeting.
