Been reading the manga for this. This will definitely be controversial given how Noel operates. Especially the first arc and what he does to some people. Definitely gonna be fun to watch a main character who likes playing as a heel, who does anything in order to get what he wants. And he's gonna do it with his Talk-no-Jutsu as a Talker

The title reminds me about another story with the protagonist who only talks, to bring his party members together. However, this protagonist can talk to enhance his party members' power.
The protagonist acts like a villain. His grandfather has influence on him, in the wrong way. His grandfather is greedy, to get stronger. So, the grandfather can protect people. The protagonist is very demanding. Two of his party members get upset and leave him, and take the share of his reward. The future seems like a retaliation story. |

Not a bad start. Though definitely going to fall into the edgy category.
I don't mind Noel's stance overall. Though I think picking a fight with Walter like that was just plain stupid. Either he was really counting on Lloyd to bail him out before he got his face caved in or he was just too frustrated to think clearly. But pushing for the clan I don't mind if only because he makes a fair point. They can pull it off now and they aren't going to gain experience by not doing it. And they can take advantage of the push for young heroes to stand out. An all or nothing push isn't necessarily bad either. He has his goals and can go after them right now. If everyone isn't ready to do that then better to split up now. That they can't manage without him is certainly something he's leveraging, but again I don't think it's that bad. But the end of the episode does reflect that all or nothing approach. Push people too far and they push back. And in this case it's straight up leaving. Considering he threatened to leave if they didn't go with his demands that's hardly unfair. Although if they took more than their share of the savings that's another story entirely. Noel does feel like the kind of guy I'll either kind of appreciate or just straight up dislike. He's good at talking obviously but not so good at managing the party's emotional state.

Already saw the betrayal coming when they were doing the clan discussion. It's either Lloyd and Tanya were planning to save up for their marriage or they were thinking about taking off all along but it was just too early. Could felt it from the scene, so the direction and acting came through.

Yep, same here. Maybe it gets worse. I, however, didn't find it too appealing until the "betrayal", which I knew would happen, but thought it would be completely one-sided, like a banished story. Will stick around for now, but probably won't hold for long unless MC does some interestingly questionable things.

Episode 2
Nicely done. An MC that is not your usual goody-two-shoes. A practical and ruthless one that is not often seen in anime. Practical in that by selling the 2 partymates that betrayed the party as slaves helps to recover the common party funds that were embezzled by those 2. Killing them or sending them to the police woul not help them to recover the funds. Ruthless enough to do it without any hesitation by pre-arranging for slave merchant who is one of the crime family leaders before setting off to capture those 2. Bravo. Well done. Noel, you're such a Magnifiicent Bastard. I am sold to watch this series. p.s. Kudos to Noel for his belief in gender equality. |

The artistic billboard of the dirty dealing is hilarious. Walter starts out as the team's most savage character. It turns out he is the only sane character in his team. The outcome hits him, and he decides to quit. It appears Tania has more backstory with Noel. It is sad they has to end this toxic way. Maybe it is not the end for their dispute. |
