Oh good. Looks like I have a reason to renew my premium after letting it expire a couple years ago.

Never mind what I just posted then. Looks like it will be fansubs for me, unless Funimation pulls a rabbit out of their hat. I didn't notice a not available in your region when I check the Index III page, but I was hoping that was just a placeholder before the episode was added.

WTFF?! What the hell is wrong with those guys?!
Have we done anything wrong to deserve that?
Licensing issues, they say? Why Index? Dear goodness...

NOTE: Apparently japanese Netflix & Amazon Prime are listed as airing stations.
May there be an "unfortunate" chance that those folks managed to get the license?

After quite a few years without any To Aru series adaptation, now they throw three at us at once? I wonder if that's a good idea...

This is an alternate universe we're lining in. You could say: we're living in the real isekai.

While I question lining up three of the same universe in such a short time span, at least that means you don't have to bother watching all of them and still get all of them.

Is it wise to try this when the Series is so old?

Alternatively, it also makes me think they are preparing for a big bang ending and is now going full throttle before the end.

I was hoping/expecting something like this when they announced Index III as part of Project To Aru, but I didn't think they would announce both Accel and Railgun III so soon and at right after one another. The next Railgun Arc being animated is going to look so good.

That's certainly unexpected, especially after so long without any To aru series. Guess this makes up for this season only being only 26 episodes.

Considering it's still popular as all hell among Dengeki's stuff.....yes. Like really, this thing makes Shana look tame back when Shana was at its height

I would say yes, it took various years but now they finally decided to hit the iron when it is hot/warm . I always considered trying to promote other series is a good thing until you stop to make one of the most popular IPs you have take the seat back, that's just bad management no matter how you look at it.

It's also about time this series to go down the path of the end. It lived long enough but it also has been decaying due it changing its nature from general to niche.

Is it? Well that's comforting to know. I've been out of the game so long I don't know what it's current status.

Because Dengeki Bunko's Miki launched a new company.
The new company "Straight Edge Inc."

-Contract writer's management work
-Planning and editing of publications by contract writers
-Planning, production and sale of character contents
-Planning, production, production management, promotion and investment of animation
-Intellectual property license management and rights management business
-Invest in video, games, software, development, planning, promotion, sales

http://straightedge.jp/

Miki was an editor of Kamachi (Toaru Series), Sajima (The Irregular at Magic High School), Husimi (Oreimo), Kawahara (SAO) etc. Miki is doing an attempt to establish a light novel work continuously as a series. Traditional publishing companies were selling books, animation was a promotion and bonus. He is trying to change it. Most of the works he edited have been hit. I think that works to be animated will increase in his work in the future as well.
think of it as a more comprehensive service for authors
so instead of the LN pump with anime on the side, Straight Edge will try to provide as much support for LNs so they are part of a comprehensive multimedia

Hmm... Could that be a potential attempt at a revolution on the LN Scene?
