Trigger's new series, an adaptation of Kota Nozomi's Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de, was just announced.

Artist is known for Hataraku Maou.

Synopsis:

In the original novel series' story, the five members of the literature club awakened with extraordinary powers half a year ago. Although the members expected to be thrown into a world of super-powered battles (inou-battle) at their school, their normal daily routine continued. No secret organizations bent on world destruction, no super-powered wars, no braves or demon kings.

However, the members still look forward to the possibilities of adventure, and continued to believe that with each day, they were getting ever closer to those days of fantasy. Their days of romantic comedy and battles with extraordinary powers begin!

Does anyone feel like this is going to be Kill la Kill but without some super serious plot? If it's going to be high-octane action comedy, it might work pretty well.

Episode one isn't surprisingly bad. The comedy was kinda meh, but I love the concept of a group of five kids awakening with superpowers while living in a peaceful life, it stands out from other actiony shows about people who awakens powers as the world starts crumbling in destruction while saving it. I also love how they showcase their own powers and the good thing is that the show itself features more animation than the entirety of Kill la Kill.

While this is coming from Trigger, the visuals doesn't look like it could fit with them and are more suited to mid-class studios like J.C Staff or Dogakobo. 029's character designs looked more faithful in animated form than Maou-sama even though they are stunning to watch and I really like Elements Garden's OST too.

It's not too boring by any means, but chuuni-based humor is the thing that made me particularly appreciate the series somehow so I'm going to watch more of it, hopefully.

Yeah, the comedy is blend so far. It reminded me of D-Frag a bit with the whole powers stuff and student council/club/setting. I suppose this might have a plot that picks up later but I wouldn't take it too seriously.

His make belief turned into something real.
School girls with super powers... what can possibly go wrong.
As expected, first problem has emerged.
This has the possibility to turn into something interesting.
Might give it a try.

I am curious as to how the loli's power seems to allow teleportation. It doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the description, unless you assume a greater degree of reality-warping than Andou gave her credit for.

I liked it, thought it was funny, and the cast chemistry good.
Hope it stays just fooling around daily adventures and doesn't go into actual battle drama.
