Scattered thoughts on Episode 3:
I watched a Love Live AMV a few years ago and did not enjoy it. The music was uninspired, facial features were too similar and movements were a little too in sync. So I had low expectations going in, but thankfully they've been surpassed. I'm grateful that I can tell the difference between characters. The concert scene was much better than I expected, considering the song's grating intro last episode. I can watch it without flinching. The song and moves are better than the OP (which is hard for me to watch, given Vice President's trollface). They sure came a long way in a month. Dat CG. o_O;; I'm not one to be cowed by CG, but this sets me on edge. But I'm okay with the Idolmaster games- they set the gold standard for movements and facial expressions. Idol shows have a shaky track record, but I'll be sticking with this one, I guess. I prefer this self-starter approach to one where idols are put through the ringer by the industry machine. |

This show was a nice surprise for me, just expecting some fun from the concept but ended up having a little more meaningful lesson from Episode 3. Looking forward to how they will build up from that.
It could be she's too popular to be on the list.

My two favorite characters (so far) are Honoka and Maki. If I was giving out those heart votes, and if I could only give one (I'm not sure if this is the case or not) I'd give one to Maki, because I'd like to see her get more screen-time. I'm quite content with Honoka's level of screen-time, after all. I am impressed with how many votes the student council pres is getting though. I mean, she's the closest thing this show has to an antagonist right now. I thought that would take an edge off of her popularity, but apparently not.
