They are only allowed to use simple shikigami and nothing else.

To add, the training seems focused at bettering their control over shikigami in general. Cooking is a fairly precision heavy field, so it's perfect for this.

His name is Yamishiro Hayato, a rookie Divine General who also happens to have been under Genji's tutelage. He duels Natsume in vol 10.

IIRC, he also graduated from the academy the same year when all that chaos in vol 6-9 was happening.

That's interesting question... Shidou did imply Touji's kinda of like him despite only being a hybrid. Not to mention Kagami has also called him special too. I'm really curious where that will go in part 2.

I'm curious as well. Not only about the Oni stuff, but Touji is with Amami currently, right?

There's no way he would let that opportunity go, I'm sure he's been learning quite a lot.
