Not sure how he benefits from the hougyoku

he is already the strongest
and the hougyoku can only break the barriers between hollow and shinigami

I guess if you don't want anyone else to steal it, hiding it inside your own body, while being the strongest, is the best place

but it just seems like an opportunity for urahara to invent something that will negate the effects of it or something. and if its buried within him and then suddenly does something bad...

Maybe the hougyoku is "drinking" Ichigo's hollow powers. It's not so much healing Aizen it's that most of the power behind the blows going into the orb instead. We know the orb's powered by reiatsu and it needs an insane amount of reiatsu to fully awaken. We also know Ichigo's chock full of reiatsu which was just restored in full by Unohana.

So maybe Aizen saw Ichigo's powers growing after fighting stronger enemies and now he plans to put that to good use. Every time Ichigo uses his hollow power against Aizen the he's adding power to the hougyoku.

Of course if that guess were correct, it wouldn't make much sense for Aizen to be revealing it.
