Just finished watching episode 34; my heart goes to Misa, how she can have the patience with Hikaru after all he's done to her I'll never know.

Good riddance to that trash Kaifun. Never like that ahole ever since he first appeared. Treated Minmay like crap all the time. Grrr...I just wish someone would've kicked his ass.

Heh, heh Quamzin...it's too late for you, your already 'cultured'. Treating your mecha like its some sort of horse. Laplamiz learning and wanting more culture

Edit: I've got to say Misa looks a lot better with her hair down and instead of the curls.

Yeah, those last episodes REALLY made me hate Hikaru... MAKE UP YOUR DAMN MIND!! DON'T YOU REALIZE WHAT YOU'RE PUTTING MISA THROUGH...?

And yeah, I think EVERYONE thinks Misa looks better without the curls.

Finish the series. I have to add at the end of it was probably one of the best and most frustrating love triangles I've ever seen. Plus the fights and old school campy 80's music made it really fun to go down memory lane.

Well, next stop on my Macross franchise marathon is Do You Remember Love. :P

Ahhhh... DYRL. I finally saw it for the first time last year, and have rewatched it more than everything else in the entire franchise.

Yes. It IS that good.

The real clincher: hands-down the title song. I still can't get it out of my head... pure Deculture!

Welp, gonna watch Macross II sometime this week, but hopefully I'll see ya'll in the Macross 7 thread, if there's one on AS as my marathon of the franchise continues

You'd better prepare your heart and mind for all the craziness and zaniness of Macross 7. You also have to stomach a heavy dose of stock footage of valkyries shooting their loads and got blown up again and again and again.....

All that said, I really enjoy Macross 7 thanx to the insanity of the main character, Nekki Basara. The rock songs are also nice.

Btw, there's already a Macross 7 thread in this forum IIRC.

I've heard about that, but I'm hoping the MC randomness will keep me trucking on. I've started this marathon and I'm not gonna proclaim it finished until the last episode of Frontier.

Before watching Frontier, you might wanna watch Macross Zero first .

Really? I was wondering when to watch it because its a prequel to SDF. But if you believe it'll help understand the story better before watching Frontier, I'll consider it.

It's not totally required to see Zero before Frontier. Yes, there are things that might be a bit more clear if you've seen Zero first, but it's nothing that would have you totally lost if you watched Frontier first.

Better late than never! DYRL was actually my very first anime in the original Japanese language way back in 1986. I've definitely watched it more than any other movie, including live action movies!

It always makes me happy to see newer Macross fans enjoying the franchise!

Hm, I probably just missed that being already posted by someone else months ago, but did someone just clean up some footage and made an AMV, or what exactly is this?

I posted that for the 30th anniversary, but the footage was actually from the refined Macross opening of a Pachinko game...

Oh, boy. That is... well, a bit sad. How awesome would it be if they really did a re-mastered version of SDFM in that manner?

Ah, well. I guess Kawamori would be more in doing new projects and some weed.

Hey, anybody here has seen this particular video before? It's a fan-project from Argentina, it seems.
