Reading chapter 12 of Drei, no wonder Miyu was clingy to Illya after she was befriended.

Miyu is similar to Sakura that went through abuse and found hope in another person.

Miyu noted that Erika while an innocent child is a twisted one by her family. Again with similarities to FSN original characters she is like the original Illya.

Illya's soul transferred to a doll... oh, the irony. Her F/SN self did the same thing to Shirou in a bad end. Erika is actually scarier than F/SN Illya was, because she seems genuinely innocent and yet can perform such horrible acts. She really is twisted.

Gil-kun was fabulous as usual. He didn't deserve to get hit!

Well, unless we get a 4ier, I don't expect to see much more out of Miyu. And she only ever installed Saber, who has a stupid amount of forms throughout the franchise and is likely the only reason why she and Illya have different forms for that. Kuro and Illya's Archer forms are like 98% identical.

Also, was browsing through the Blu-ray versions of the anime today, and noticed something in the Archer vs Saber episode. In the broadcast version, it was just a black screen with "How?". In the Blu-ray version, it shows what is likely Kuro being the one asking the question:

I find it interesting how Illya managed to resist the brain washing. The original Illya (Kuro) did the same thing. Kuro was not erased but another personality was spawned to protect herself.

It can be said Illya had a Dissociative Identity Disorder or formally known as Multiple Personality Disorder.

Dissociative disorders have been attributed to disruptions in memory caused by trauma and other forms of stress.

Except it is the other way around when Illya is in danger. The original personality surfacing was a reaction to the new dissociative personality in great stress.

Kuro Illya wished for her own body and an end to this travesty her dissociated personality being the dominant one.

Given this even if they treat each other as sisters I do not discount the possibility that Illya and Kuro may reunite as one person again.

Spoiler for ch18 raw: In the previous chapter, we learn that the world is dying, and the Ainsworths (supposedly) intend to use Miyu as the Grail to restore it. Therefore, attacking the Ainsworths and rescuing Miyu are the same as betraying the world. Angelica tells this to Ilya as they are fighting in the castle, while Gil tells the same thing to Kuro, Ruby, and Bazett back at the school. Gil says he wants to make sure they're ready and willing before they go, because it may be their last battle. In this chapter, Ilya is hesitating after hearing the news, while Angelica continues to nuke Ilya with Noble Phantasms. This is when Ilya sneaks away with that Assassin Install as I posted before and takes cover behind a tree, unclear about what she should do. Angelica tries to nuke Ilya again, and that's when Kuro arrives on the scene. Kuro then delivers a kick to Angelica's face, and gives a definitive answer: She's not afraid to say what she wants.
