x 2 Speed?

I´ve an strange problem since I formated and installed Win 98 SE today..
There are no problems in opening .avi or .mpg files.. the problem is they are not sync and they are about twice of the normal speed..
Someone can help me here? Thanks in advantage!

I'm assuming that you have ac codec problem. To solve that, uninstall all the codecs you might have installed already and install ffdshow. Does that solve the problem?

The fact that it works could indicate that you've got some codec issues because VLAN does not use the codecs you've installed but the codecs that come with the program itself. Either that, or it could be a player issue if WMP is the only program to playback the file as twice as fast as it's supposed to be. Did you try a reinstall of WMP? (Actually, there is an Play Speed option in WMP9 in Play-->Play Speed-->??? but it's greyed in at my WMP so I can't check if you can alter the playback speed there.)
