Anyone else think this looks fake?I don't think camera flash can make an authentic figurine look like that bad.

lawl obvious bootleg. Skin tone's way off even with the flash.

Besides the more reflective paint, skin tone looks dark compared to the one I got from HLJ. I don't think it's the camera, because the pencil board's colors look fine to me.

Unless people were bootlegging the Max Factory Haruhi statue at Anime Expo, I think that's the real deal. I think the flash probably messed up the colors...

Well the blogger has contacted me via email (i'm the one who made comments about its authenticity on the blog post) and they've come to believe that it's a bootleg after looking at pictures on other sites etc. There was no H Japan hologram sticker on the box too. A shame to hear that bootlegs were being sold at Anime Expo...

I was also the victim of a counterfeit figure. I paid way too much for a fake BUBBA Haruhi guitar-bunny figure. Of course I was totally unaware that it was never released as PVC. My fault for not doing research.

Doesn't matter if it is a expo. Bootlegs are sold everywhere. Ask the guy over at the FSN about buying a bootleg limited Ed Rider at one of the anime expo. Personally i wouldn't buy anything form a anime expo or ebay unless the seller has been recommanded by other anime fans. I stick to either HLJ or Rightstuff.

On the Righstuff note, just got Max Yuki Today

Now I have Haruhi, Mikuru, Yuki, Ryoko on order and need to have Fang-tan be up for order. Only one left would be Adult Mikuru and Loli in a bag to complete the Haruhi collection,

My copy is in the mail on its way from Japan, courtesy of my friend who studied abroad for one year there. He's also bringing me the Hirano Aya photo album (heart heart heart). Can't wait to get it.
