For this year, of course, but you are entirely correct there.

Oh, poor Hatsune Miku. She didn't deserve that kind of stompage.

Herp, the one day I didn't bother checking General Anime is the day I miss the AST thead getting made.

Anyways, sup guys, I'm ready for another year where another one of my favorites (hint: Kuroneko) will win Saimoe.

Thus, the potential for epic butthurt and tears in the event she gets assassinated for some reason.

This. I like Kuroneko and all but the fallout from characters like this failing is usually far more entertaining. Plus, my absolute top favourites (Taiga doesn't really count with her weak eligibility) aren't around this year.

Just pretend that Aria/Shana/Nagi?/whatever other KugiRie tsundere is Taiga. Hmmm, no Hayate, Saki, or Nanoha this year. That is a lot of spots to be picked up by K-on classmates

I'm not falling for that one again...

But really, I'll be supporting Hidan no Aria as a whole. That and Hanasaku Iroha will probably be the two factions I push the most due to their relative underdog status.

After Taiga and Azusa I'm pretty confident of my favorites, but I'm still cautious of the big target behind Kuroneko's back, so nope you can't draw firstbloodcardboard from me just yet.

I'm betting a cardboard for each of those:

Kuroneko making top16
Kaname Madoka not going very far
None of Hanasaku Iroha characters will survive group phase
Neither will any of the Dog Days characters
Every Infinite Stratos character except Charlotte will get eliminated super early

Taiga should get past first round, but I don't see her any further than 3rd round...

Just looking at something like this (Suppose to be "popularity" ranking, obviously block voting...)

http://anime.biglobe.ne.jp/userranking/chara/6844/

And this (I learn to ignore those Tiger & Bunny votes...freaking fujoshi at it again)

http://anime.biglobe.ne.jp/userranking/chara/12268/

If you just count only the Madoka character, Kaname Madoka is nowhere to be seen anyway...

Interesting, in that poll that it went Mami, Homerun, Kyouko, and then Madoka. Poor Sayaka in 12th lol

I always though cardboard and bleach bets were something that shouldn't be considered until at least the nominations period is over, since it is "difficult" to gauge the relative strengths of all these girls in Japan (+ whatever other nations can get past their firewalls and whatevers). After nominations one can get at least an idea of how thing might workout (aside from poor block placements that is).

Sadly not...(At least I don't think so...), or else it would be the favorite XD.

oh you so crazy. Dog Days might not get far, but it's not that "difficult" to survive group/prelim phase lol. Ohana will at least make the main bracket. HanaIro's like one of the top three most discussed spring 2011 anime in 2ch.

I actually expect a lot from IS this year. They better not go "Strike Witches" on me.

Kholdstare is just looking for a honorably way out of Saimoe related tasks. But Siamoe is like a drug...you need your fix.

I can see Nano and the Professor making some wins in Saimoe. Can't say that much for the rest of the Nichijou cast.
