Ep. 7 I think is the best one so far. Great dynamics to all the four protagonist and a definite hint on a plot of the series. Very funny but with a subtle touch in showing the characters personalities, their families and the town that they're living in.
Yuka is very the likable genki moron, always charging head long without thinking but lacks resolve. Rin is the dependable support, patient and optimistic. Natsumi is like a lion, strong and decisive, she's all out to put her best for her friends. Saki is Saki, that's that. Fortunately for her she's no long the butt-monkey of the show. Here we really see Saki as the wise elegant princess that she is. I like her more with her hair tied up twin-tails. makes her more cuter. |

I really like where this anime is going now that it has hit its stride with its slice-of-life aspects. This is the perfect anime for me to watch weekly, with its episodic plot and heartwarming character interaction.
Oh, twintail Yuka was nice, but shame on you for not mentioning Saki's twintails! They were one of the most striking parts of this episode, next to Saki undressing, of course. |

I sort of thought that yuka did sort of wish to win near the end. she seemed somewhat sullen and quiet(well, before the rant about idols) after the competition. glad to see that was not, though it would have provided some more drama.
I wish that natsumi blushed though, when saki asked about how does she look. rin got her blush, why not her too? |

*nods* mm-mmm. Probably smart not to depend on wishes for that festival. After all, if I had to elevator-pitch the summary of the series it would be "Four marks get trolled by a rock for two months."

For some reason this episode reminded me of that part of The Ring where they go out to the island where Sadako/Samara used to live. I kept expecting them to end up on some barren, wind-swept island where they'd find a second rock and hints about a deeper mystery. Instead they end up in a tropical paradise where everyone's super-tan (seriously, that's part of Tokyo?)

Girls planning a trip together..
It was nice watching them prepare ^^ The boat ride was pretty interesting. That suitcase full of snacks was a cool idea. Saki was kinda feeling down the entire time. Hope she'll cheer up in next episode.
