Grand Blue is getting an anime adaptation!

Plot Summary

I dropped manga, because all that annoying repetitive slapstick, but it had potential as rom-com. I will try anime hoping change of medium will make it more bearable (I was always curious which girl wins...).

Never understood why the drinking parts are in the way of adapting this. Just put a signal in the beginning of each episode that this is fiction, the legal drinking age is 20 or something, and don't do this at home, kids!

To be fair, Grand Blue is pretty much intended to be a ship tease, which is fine with me, because I got this impression early on, so I didn't expect something else. It's like D-Frag!, Dagashi Kashi, KonoBi etc., where the reader can only expect serious romance development/resolution at the end, or never, and should read it for the comedy. Granted, I didn't read Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu from the same author, but from what I heard about the ending, it's more or less confirms my suspicion.

!!! Wait, why didn't I know about this before? This is one of those really stupid manga that I happen to enjoy a lot whenever I remember to check it, so I look forward to an equally stupid and fun anime.

Just WHY? Why Zero-G for this show? To sum things up, "they got the best director and the worst studio to work on this adaptation".
