Sequel novels. 10 years after? I don't like the designs so far, feels way off from the previews series.

A random series from 05 gets a sequel? Yikes. One day I'll realize anime really is the most "never say never" of industries.

It's not that random though. It's an adaptation of a classic story.

That makes me wonder though. Is Basilisk (Koga Ninpocho) really needs a sequel? What's the story going to be? Another battle to the death where everyone dies at the end?

Yeah Basilisk is pretty well know thing, maybe not on Gundam or Fate level, but at least Escflowne-ish known imho.

Far from random anyway.

I remember really liking the original series, so I'll be on the look out for this sequel. I hope it can capture the same atmosphere.

After thinking it over, it's more or less the same for me, mainly because those sequel novels were not written by the same author as the original ones. I'm not sure what to expect as a result.

i don't quite understand how there can be a sequel to the original and i don't have enough interest to look up what the novels are about. can someone explain?

the original was something i enjoyed quite a bit. its been years since i've read/watched it, but it's stuck with me.

I just hope it won't be postponded for 6 months like another Seven Arcs new series.

Hmm... Iga Hibiki? Kouga Hachirou? I don't remember much about the prequel, but wasn't one of the clan wiped out? The winning clan should have been given favour for a thousand years or something, so why is there even a need to fight again? I'm very perplexed as to why this particular story needs a sequel.

It's been a very long time, but I believe only the best ninjas from both clans participated in the fights and were annihilated, meaning there should still be plenty left. As for why they're fighting again, who knows?

The designs could have been more original, they totally look like the two main characters from the original series, only with different hair colors.

You would think with the designs they are the children of the two protagonists, considering they're carbon copies of the original two. XD

^ It looks pretty, but I see instances of subpar animation there. I hope they use their budget wisely. We don't get many TV series about ancient Japan anymore so I want this one to be good. But overall, the PV is nice.
