Thanks for the thread recovery

I just received the two manga series books 1=4 each.
Some interesting stuff (particularly in the alternative artist books) but I'm just starting to try and read the things (need to get a better kanji dictionary....).

About the version with alternate magakas, is there any short stories about Ama, or at least any brief appearence?
I may buy those volumes. :3

Just thumbed them quickly... will let you know in a day or so...

edit:
Each of the books have at least some Ama ... usually in conjunction with an Asa story (the main storyline Days in the Bloom features much more Ama than the anime).

The other series is interesting because you can tell the artists love Nerine (must be that sad puppydog look she can do) ... but there's lots of good treatment of all the girls ... pretty short on Mayumi and very short on Nadesico. Even Kareha gets some decent page time.

The stories are pretty verbal --- so I'll be a long while in figuring out what they say.

Well, I mentioned this in the old thread, but that post's vanished, of course. Anyway, the OSTs are included in the limited edition DVDs. Each disc contains an image song by one of the voice actors (first was Sia, then Nerine, this month is Kaede, and Asa in January), and a number of background music tracks from the show. Not sure if they'll ever collect all these into a seperate OST release someday, but that's the way they're releasing the OST for now. So, if you're looking to buy the soundtrack, the LE DVDs are where to look.

Edit: And yeah, by the way, there are a number of Asa-centered chapters in the "Comics à la carte" series. There are chapters for each of the girls; a pretty good variety.

My Sia figure just arrived today (yay, on the winter solstice)...
Sia figurine by Atelier-Sai:
Quality is reasonably good .... there's a very very slight color variation between the the two pieces of hair that only show up under bright light. The tops of the hose have a couple of very slight color bleed onto the legs (but a couple of gentle razor scrapes cleared that up). The right elbow has a mold pouring bit that I *may* tinker with a bit. Overall I give the paintjob an "85" (only some noticeable bleed if you get really close).

And yes, she's wearing her jackpot panties, you pervs.... the 3rd thumbnail contains the "otaku proof".

I'm liking the amount of detail of the Sia very much, & believe me its so tempting to buy Her.

But i'm still keeping a certain amount of money back, just for when that all mighty Ama version comes out. ^^

Indeed, and she's one hell of a kawaii one - maybe if i save up enough, i can keep the money i have towards the ama figurine, and order the kawaii version! ^.^

Yeah, and she's the secret figure too .

Don't feel bad though, I haven't found a Kareha one anywhere.

FYI...for people who like Atelier-Sai's SHUFFLE! figures like Sia in her summer uni and Kaede in her winter uni, the Nerine figure is now up for presale at a couple places....

Nerine at HLJ.com, but no pic yet...so what is she dressed in...?

CDJapan has a picture: Nerine in waitress outfit...

Okay Nerine fans, go wild

I was too, but it would seem the school only has summer and winter...since they went right to the winter uni with no autumn uni Spring, who knows...

with this, I'm just hoping that for Asa's larger figure, they don't just stick her in her normal blue dress she wore a few times in the anime (i.e. the same exact dress she wears in her smaller figurine, the one that came with her artbook/cd/pencilboard/figure package).

For Primula, I have a feeling if they do NekoPrimula, it would go over pretty well

Either way, I ordered that figure even before I posted the info. I am so dead moneywise.

Yeah, tell me about it... 6 months ago, I never thought I'd actually find myself ordering figurines... but then again, a year ago I never thought I'd ever order an R2 DVD, so... But somehow, I'll be collecting this Atelier-Sai figure set too... I'll place this order along with the March one once it's announced/available for pre-order.
