Resovoir Dogs: 8/10. Really liked this. Not one of my favorite movies, but it was an interesting flick, and very well done.

Chinatown: 9/10. Really enjoyed this movie. Tense and interesting, great atmosphere.

Hausu: ??/10. I watched this in japanese with no subtitles, so I didn't follow the dialogue, but this movie is just so... weird that even if I could follow the dialogue, I doubt it would make any sense.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

Now that I've seen all 3 in the series, I can say that while they are not exactly of the highest quality, the Underworld films serve as a nice refreshing tonic to all the Twi-mania that seems to dominate the genre nowadays.

As an animator I watch alot of animated movies:

Tintin and the Secret of the Unicorn was great, more exciting than I expected. It had light hearted humour and amazing action and chase sequences, it had the best pirate ship battle I've ever seen, the final chase scene was very dynamic and the final duel was very creative as well. Amazing visuals and great choreography, animation and acting was fluid since they used motion capture technology .

Puss in Boots was good fun, not the best Dreamworks did but still good quality animation as usual.

The most delightful surprise was Arthur Christmas, I watched it not knowing what to expect since I thought its probably going to be just another christmas movie. It turned out to be the best christmas movie I've ever seen. Great animation from Aardman Animations, very well defined characters and personalities with very easy to relate to objectives. Well balanced humour and good pacing of story to tell a heart warming story of the christmas spirit in a very dynamic execution.

Detective Dee and the mystery of the phantom flame.

7.5 out of 10 ... not bad as far as "big scale" flying wire modern B-grade king fu flicks go.

I recently watch Final Destination 5. It's a good installment compared to other FD movies. Also, I'm really surprised when:

Watched Quarantine 2 the other night. It wasn't as bad as I heard it was, given I jumped a few times. Suspecting a third release.

Just saw Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows on opening night (with The Dark Knight Rises trailer!!!) It was tons of fun with pretty awesome fight scenes and plenty of laughs... not quality stuff or anything but I had a great time

Last movie I bothered to watch was The Muppets. Funny, good music, and super nostalgic (depends on your age/if you're a diehard Muppets fan or not). One of the best revival movies I've seen of any children-related show ever, personally.

Watched Real Steel the other day, it was much better than I had expected it to be. Lots of action and just about enough drama to make you care for the characters. The ending was amazing, looking forward to part II. The cheesy lines the ref throws are so funny

Source Code: The name made me suspect something bad, instead I got something good that delved fairly deep into philosophy and metaphysics, as well as physics. I recommend this movie to people who enjoy a good story and premise. Its not world shattering but its still a good movie.

8/10

Twilight Breaking Dawn Pt 1: Why am I such a good boyfriend!

This one actually kept me entertained for most of the film length. No Jacob's abs, but I will live on. Seems Bella is starting to show more faces in the film. More than just D:| like every scene usually. I can definitively wait for the last one in the serious to come out.

Saw Braveheart on the airplane today. Really awesome movie! It didn't feel like the 178 minutes it was supposed to be at all. Wish movies could still be made like this these days...

I went with a couple of friends to watch a Bollywood movie, Don 2. The story involves an unstoppable thief and cop girl chasing him to Berlin. I expected to see some of the crazy Bollywood action, but this movie was rather slick and polished with the action being much more believable than some of the other stuff I've seen (although not by much).

Spoiler for just in case:

Overall, it was a fun movie.

Afterwards, we went out for sushi.

So, I'm trying to watch every film adaptation of A Christmas Carol ever... The last one I saw was An All Dogs Christmas Carol. And it was truly awful. Sincerely. Wow.
