Well, when fertygo talked about the Stardust Crusaders OAV, he was more than likely talking about the 1990s one, or the 2000s + 1990s and not just the 2000s OAV series. The main mistake of the 1990s OAVs was to start in media res, expecting people who were not readers of the manga to grasp what's happening. I know, BECAUSE my FIRST contact with JoJo were the two last OAVs of the 1990s version, UNSUBBED. And I not only felt lost, and I also wrote it off as a "gay version of Hokuto no Ken". It took the french publishing of the manga by J'ai Lu, back in 2002/2003, to grasp what I have missed out. And boy I felt humbled.

Yes I mainly talking about 90's OVA, boy.. that was excellent. I don't care its only adaptation of a bit part, we most likely never got Jojo's adaptation on that scale again.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that already an great total?
No it wouldn't be,when people talk about sales the number you're hearing is average per volume not the total.

So when you hear people say that something sold 18k,they mean per volume.

What? Why? That doen't make any sense, isn't the total more important?

Total is not important because people that bought, for example, volume 1 are also the same people that will buy volume 2, 3, 4 etc. so it is more reasonable to base the success of sales per volume.

anyway the part 3 ova didn't had some things like kakyoin fighting against Terrence D'arby, or iggy fighting against Petshop, or the complete poker match

but i think that with jjba's success now, they will probbaly add the rest and link some things from the original OVA's

I really want to see Stardust Crusader animated properly...

Do you think it'll take 26 episodes for the first two arcs? Honestly I don't remember them to be particularly long. Aren't we already very close to the end of the first anyway?

I can expect end of Part 1 by the 9th or 10th episode. We meet the Dark Knights in episode 5 and we will likely end the Dark Knight part in episode 6. Then you meet Dire and Straits around the 7th or 8th episode. It depends on how long they gonna stretch the fights against Bruford and Tarkus.

The first two part was 12 volume long, 26 episode already moving very fast to cover both.

IIRC Startdust Crusaders started in the very last part of the 12th volume. With OLD Joseph coming to Japan.

Best part of episode 5:

Dio: "Do you remember how many breads you have eaten in your life?"

Otherwise, the pacing is smooth but the censoriship is nasty. Whoever did the coloring needs to lay down the mushrooms.

The narrator's comments always ease the tension when it's too stiff, and the way he exclaims everything is interesting as well.
Although Jojo is like making up new moves from nowhere at this point...
Nice to see that even with Hamon, Dio is not fazed.

To be fair, there was a part of the manga that was omited where the chinese, who became Dio's underling, had been sent to kill Jonathan and was the first to taste Hamon. He came back to Dio, so his lord became aware of the Hamon as game changer for Jonathan.

I love the color palette. It totally fits Jojo (Araki's colorings are always quite... interesting).

That was another good episode. The animation is still stiff but at this point it's doubtful it's ever going to change. I'd like them to use a different style for the next part though, as I'm not sure the current one would suit it.

That bastard Dio's got a lot of tricks up his sleeve. Hamon is ineffective against him, how is Jojo going to win?
