what? iona's words of "wanting to be with ruko" isnt good enough to count?
or if you meant her actually succeeding, then yes thats unlikely, which is why I said "want" rather than "hope". dont break my fantasies please.

The issue is that Iona and Tama both want Ruko not to betray Battoru, they are allies there! It's good that Iona is there, or else Ruko might go and cheat |

In complete seriousness, I do feel a bit bad for Iona. In addition to what you wrote, Ruuko barely seems to acknowledge that Iona even exists, and keeps her tucked away in pockets and glove compartments. Iona might as well be in solitary confinement in a prison somewhere...

The part of the opening where Ruuko is consumed by that LRIG spirit or whatever and falls into the darkness makes me hopeful that Ruuko's darker side will be explored more this season. C'mon Ruuko, turn into a villain that makes Akira look innocent.
A good episode overall, as WIXOSS always is. Chiyori is entertaining and I really enjoyed the autumn scenery. |

I'm still think Ruko was a LRIG. This LRIG plays a part in Ruko's dark side. I also found out that Red LRIG is actually a Green type (didn't know). Her selector will play a important role to Ruko. Maybe she found way to hack to the "white room".

I'm actually glad it's not all battles all the time and focusing more on the characters and the mysteries behind the system.
As Infected went on, it becomes clear that it's less about card advertisement and more about using the card game as a base for a story unlike ones like Yu-Gi-Oh! or, as far as I know, Vanguard and others, which definitely feel much more card advertisement.

Probably when Ruuko pulls out Iona, she get's the whole: "I want to do it with you. You want it too, don't you? Common, let's do it. You know you want it." seduction routine. It sucks for Ruuko that she has another LRIG who has no intentions of fulfilling Ruuko's wish. But I guess she'll convince Ruuko that battling is the way to get Tama back. |

I agree with the others, the first episode wasn't anything special, but I still enjoyed it a lot, mainly because there were a few small details that might become interesting later on.
I know that Eldora was probably just lying when she said she doesn't remember anything about Mayu and rest... buuut it'd be kinda interesting if it turned out that she's really forgotten about everything because of something in the LRIG system can actually cause amnesia or something. It'd explain why Tama is the way she is. At the first scene of the previous season we saw Tama (or maybe it was Ruuko?) destroying Ulith, now we saw Iona destroying Tama. If these scenes are just symbolic, and something that will happen in the future (or happened in the past), then this might mean that Tama will become free just like Ulith did. Speaking of Ulith (or UlIona now, I guess), her grin was awesome at the end. No, I want to see that too~ |

Wow.
Didn't expect it all to escalate in this approach. So much despair and manipulation lol. Aki-lucky so close to obtaining happiness, I was almost fooled for a sec, then Ulith is like nah, I want to see the dark you. And it all went back to insanity. lol @ the game being interrupted yet again. Ruuko sure is lucky.

Oh boy, look who is back. (not in that screenshot but referring to Akira) A good set up episode. Seems like Akira's new toy has an ability to negate magic. Also, it's not Iona that is back but Ulith and it looks like she has some business with Chiyori. I'm curious to see what she has to say~

The 2nd episode was fantastic. Awesome and truly startling plot twists/developments, and the whole Aki-Lucky/Ulith!Iona dynamic is simply delicious. I did not see it coming, and it makes for a couple very interesting and fun antagonists.
