My dreams Suigin-Beatrice have been shattered.

Rosa's hair is shorter than I thought it would be and her outfit looks 'poofy' to me. Not that I don't like the design, I just noticed these two things as soon as I looked at it. =P

I suppose the designs are all okay, some things are a little off like some of their eyes or details in clothing. Some of the men look a little too stout, Gohda and Genji both look more... horizontally gifted than I imagined they would and Kumasawa looks incredibly skinny compared to what I imagined. Nanjo was already quite round in the original so I suppose him having a big belly shouldn't be too odd. =P

I guess the style is growing on me, I like the facepalm sketch of Natsuhi and the pissed Rosa sketch. They both pretty much portray them like how I imagined. X3

Beatrice looks a little too "sharp" to me and I like the dress design from the game better but I do like a couple of the expressions shown. I do wonder if sketches of the other witches will be revealed... especially Bernkastel since she technically appears before Episode 2.

I do hope they keep Beato and Battler's fangs.

Especially Beato's cuz hers get pretty scary in some scenes.

But overall, I like the character designs. And to tell the truth, what's the change in the dress designs from the game and the anime? I don't notice any major discrepancies.

HAHAHA They CHOSE SAYAKA OHARA!? That is amazing. Who else besides Beatrice is a prophetic witch who has a pipe? Yuuko! yes I wanted Suigin-Beatrice but oh well this works fine too.

Rosa LOOKS GOOD! And as we imagined they did make her look younger.
I'm liking Natsuhi's design a bit more now that they've shown more faces. They kept the reserved look.

Kinzo is menacing (as he should be)
Eva - Imagined her face as thinner/longer. But it's fine
Krauss, Hideyoshi, and Rudofl - all fine, good job capturing the expressions.
Kyrie - Captured her charm

Genji - Eyeshot far right.....his badass scene in episode 2?
All others - Fine
Beatrice - Pretty good. Needs more shots of her eternal playful grin.

Not just you. All doujin-art features Rosa's hair abit longer than the anime's design. As you know is we can't really blame this interpretation cause They never show Rosa from the side to display the lenght of her hair.

Uh...What details? Cause I'm examining Ryukishi's art and the anime design side by side and can't find a real difference.

So far none of the people who've been asked for in this thread got the characters that people wanted them to play... so I guess I'll stop getting my hopes up. @.@;

Well, if Rie Tanaka didn't get beatrice, the only other role I can think for her is Lucifer.

I think the guy who voiced Szilard from Baccano! could work since anime Kinzo looks a bit like him.

Personally I don't want to hear Wakamoto as Kinzo. His voice is so comedic and exaggerated based from what I've heard of him. Even if Kinzo is crazy, I don't want to LOL hearing him. >_>

I like the design for most of the characters, but I think Kyrie and Kumazawa looks kinda...off. I'm kinda disappointed at Kinzo's chuuni face...it doesn't have enough of an "lol" impact to it

I wonder if they'll cut out Rudolf's jokes in episode 3. Those were gold even though I don't particularly favour the guy.

I have a question though, doesn't the introduction of Beatrice as a main character sort of destroys some suspense in Ep 1 where we are still wondering whether the witch is a myth, or reality. But I guess everybody who haven't played the games are spoiled along time ago anyways so there's no point.

The thing is, the existence of the portrait is there. Although giving Beato a few expressions in there is the problem.

I always thought they would peg it into a Fall slot. I don't mind waiting a little bit longer if it means the quality is as good as it can be.

Maybe it's just me, but the female adult characters look a bit weird/fat/short from the back. And Kyrie is kinda manly.

Love Rosa and Krauss (I can't quite express how much his faces made me lol).
I'm not that disappointed in Natsuhi's design anymore, but I still find it way too different from the game.
