Even when the script is perfect i'm still sure he's nowhere near as good as his japanese counterpart (He even messed up the Gundam cry, for example) but yeah I can see what you mean when you say the script is biggest factor in this case.

Do you agree when I say that's because the script writter(s) had compresed, rewrote everything from the novels and they had come up short on the eventual result ?

Things are not going to be better with the remaining 2 episodes if this keeps up.

Yeah of course they come with english subs for the entire episode. But some of the BD live content is in Japanese with out English subs.

...I am now hopelessly in love with UC. I'm quite confused, though - after checking out the Unicorn website - what's the difference between Neo Zeon and the Zeon remnants? Why are they listed separately?

Also, where can I find translated versions of the Unicorn novel? If posting is not allowed, might some kind soul send me a PM? Thanks!

I'll try to answer that. I haven't read the novels, this is just from watching all the U.C. series/OVA/movie from MS Gundam to Unicorns (and everything in between).

Zeon Remnants were survivors or abandoned units of Zeon Earth Attack Force from the original One Year War, 16 years before. Unicorn's Neo Zeon, particularly the Sleeves, were one of mostly independent movements (like Haman's or Chars) mostly with the goal of restoring the Zabi line, though their resources and influence have mostly dimminished by Unicorn's time.

I guess we have to watch episode 4 for the definitive answer.

Zeon itself has two basic factions - the Daikun faction who supports the ideal of the original founder Zeon Daikun (Char's father) and the Zabi faction who supports the Zabi family. While from the outside you don't seem to see the two factions, in reality the two factions where never getting along (as it is well known within the top level that it was the Zabi family who murdered/poisoned Zeon Daikun and turned Zeon from a republic into a monarchy). The Sleeves on the other hand are mainly a bunch of die hard Zabi monarchists who don't agree to this surrendering terms and broke off and declares themselves the true Zeon's by propping up the Zabi blood line Minvera as the rightful heir to lead Zeon. Now within the Sleeves you also have the real loyalists and others whom want to become puppet masters as you would see in Unicorn...
